CreativeMode has focused versions of its mod creation for specific ideas and Full Mod for projects that combine several ideas. Start with the tool that best matches the main part of your idea. You can always expand your idea with edits since edits can add any new feature (including new mobs, biomes, items, UI, and more).
| Creator | Best for |
|---|---|
| Full Mod | A project with several features, such as many new items, ores, equipment, mobs, recipes, and gameplay features |
| Items and Blocks | Individual weapons, tools, armor, food, building blocks, and 3D objects |
| Mobs | Creatures, bosses, pets, and NPCs with custom appearances and behavior |
| Structures | Buildings, statues, landmarks, and other constructions |
| Biomes | New biomes or dimensions with terrain, vegetation, structures, mobs, and atmosphere |
| Player Skins | A skin for your Minecraft character |
| CreativeMode Studio | Reusable textures, 3D models, sound effects, and speech |
Generation usually takes a few minutes. Full Mods, Biomes, and complex edits may take longer.
Explain the result you want rather than only naming a theme. For example, instead of “make a frost mod,” write:
Add a pale-blue frost ore that appears rarely under snowy biomes. It can be crafted into a sword that slows enemies for three seconds and armor that grants brief resistance while standing on snow.
You can continue adding details with edits, so the first prompt does not need to describe every future idea. It is often better to start with a smaller idea and use edits to add on new features.
