Remix

Remix is a feature that allows you to create a new mod based on an existing mod. The original mod will remain unchanged and you get a new mod with your modifications.

How to Remix#

  1. Find a mod to remix on Explore.
  2. Click "Remix" button and describe your changes
  3. Add optional assets (reference images, texture files, audio)
  4. Click "Create Remix" button
  5. Wait for the remix to be generated (2-5 minutes)
  6. The new remix will be created under your account

The remix is then a regular mod that you can play, share, and publish!s

What You Can Modify#

Remix works the same way as edit, so you can change pretty much anything about the mod. Change the attributes, add a new item, add a fun sound effect, or anything else you want.

Advanced Options#

Reference images: Show desired style (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG).

Texture files: Direct replacements (PNG only, power-of-2 for Java, 16x16 for Bedrock).

Audio files: Custom sounds for Java (MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC, M4A). Always describe usage in prompt.

Attribution#

Every remix shows original creator credit, link to original mod, original mod thumbnail, edition and version info. Visible on your remix page, search results, and mod details.

You're the author of your remixed version and any modifications. The original creator gets automatic credit for their creation.

Limitations#

Remix cannot change a Bedrock mod to Java or vice versa.
