Blub
Behaviour
Blubs bounce around in little groups and glow softly, day and night. They run away when hurt. A blub never takes fall damage: it squashes flat when it lands and springs back into shape. Anything that lands on a blub squashes it and bounces off, so a blub makes a soft landing pad that also saves you from fall damage.
Bathing
Blubs head for any ichor within 16 blocks and bathe in it. Ichor never hurts them, and they heal while they soak (half a heart every 2 seconds). Seeing a blub bathe earns Bubble Bath.
Taming
Hold a Chimebell and nearby blubs will follow you. Feed one Chimebells: each one has a 1 in 3 chance to tame it, shown by hearts. Taming a blub earns Squishy Companion.
- A tamed blub follows you around.
- Use it with anything other than a Chimebell to make it sit or stand up.
- Feed Chimebells to two tamed blubs and they’ll have a baby, which is yours too.
