What is the Sift, Minecraft’s new dimension?
The Sift is a new dimension announced for Minecraft Java and Bedrock in 2027. It also appears in Minecraft Dungeons II. The Swift is CreativeMode's independent, fan-made interpretation, available now as a Java mod and Bedrock add-on. Read Mojang's announcement.

- Sleeping echo golems can be woken, and awake ones heal you twice as often.

- Sleeping echo golems stay asleep until Thrive.
Endure
Night · 8 min 20 s- Echo golems stop healing, and sleeping ones stay asleep.
- Half the monsters spawn soul corrupted: tougher, and burning, freezing or swift.

What is the Sift in Minecraft?
The Sift is a new dimension in the Minecraft universe, appearing in Minecraft Dungeons II and announced for Minecraft Java and Bedrock in 2027. The Swift is our independent, fan-made take on it.
When is the official Sift coming to Java and Bedrock?
Mojang has announced 2027 for Minecraft Java and Bedrock. That is separate from Minecraft Dungeons II and from the Swift mod available here.
Can I play a Sift-inspired dimension now?
Yes. Download the Swift for Java 26.1 or 26.3 with Fabric, or the Bedrock add-on for 1.26.50 or newer. These are fan-made versions, not early access to the official update.
Is the Swift the official Sift update?
No. The Swift is a fan-made project by CreativeMode, not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. The mobs, biomes and mechanics on this page describe our mod.
How do I install the Swift on Java or Bedrock?
On Java, install Fabric Loader and put Fabric API and the matching Swift JAR in your mods folder. On Bedrock, import the .mcaddon file and activate The Swift behavior pack in your world. Use the edition-specific installation guides beside the downloads for full instructions.
How do I open the portal in the Swift?
With the Swift installed, find an ancient city and play five different notes on note blocks near its reinforced deepslate frame. The portal guides explain the setup for each edition. This is a Swift mod mechanic, not an instruction for unmodified Minecraft.
How do I get back from the Swift?
If you came by portal, walk back into the arrival gate you came out of. If you came by rift, the return rift beside you closes once no one has used it for 30 seconds, so step straight back or have another way home: using a Soul Block, or giving a Singer an Echo Shard, opens a rift home. The wiki’s Getting home page lists every way back.
Do I need shaders?
No. Our Java scenery shots use Complementary Reimagined shaders, but the Swift works without them.
Will the Swift get updates?
Yes. We’ll keep adding to our fan-made interpretation as Mojang reveals more.
