Mobs › Echo Golem
Echo Golem
Building one
Place an Echo Totem, then place a Soul Block on top of it. The two blocks turn into an echo golem facing the same way as the totem’s carved face. This earns Some Assembly Required.
Dormant golems
Golems at arrival gates and Lullaby Circles are asleep. They stand perfectly still and can’t be hurt. Wake one by:
- using it (right-click);
- playing a note block within 10 blocks;
- letting a Singer sing within 16 blocks.
Waking a golem earns Rise and Shine.
Awake golems
- It stays near the closest player and walks over when you get more than about 8 blocks away.
- It fights hostile mobs, but never creepers.
- Every 20 seconds it sends out a soul pulse that gives every player within 8 blocks Regeneration for 6 seconds. In the Swift the tide changes this: during the Surge, golems pulse every 10 seconds, and during the Undertow they don’t pulse at all.
- It dances whenever a note block plays nearby or a jukebox within 12 blocks is playing, which earns Golem Groove.
- Near an unlit Deep Dark portal it sings along with your melody. See Getting there.
