Gear Durability Hud

Quickstart

1. Enable Gear Durability Hud in your world.
2. Equip armour and hold an item in your main hand or offhand.
3. Check the action bar at the bottom of the screen. The HUD continuously shows the current and maximum durability of each supported item.
4. Mine, fight, or take damage to watch the values update.

No items, crafting, blocks, or special controls are required.

Overview

Gear Durability Hud displays exact durability readings for your equipped armour and held items. The display updates several times per second, so it can be used while mining, fighting, exploring, or preparing gear.

What It Adds

The action-bar HUD shows six equipment slots:

• H — Head armour
• C — Chest armour
• L — Leg armour
• B — Boots or feet armour
• M — Main-hand item
• O — Offhand item

Each reading uses the format current/maximum, such as 125/363.

How To Use

Equip armour normally and place tools, weapons, or other durable items in either hand. The HUD automatically reads the equipment slots; swapping or replacing an item updates the corresponding reading without any additional interaction.

The display is arranged in two groups:

      L:— B:— | HANDS M:— O:—

The HUD appears in the action-bar area rather than as a separate inventory screen.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Items with durability display their remaining durability and maximum durability.
• Items without a durability value display a gray —.
• Durability is shown separately for every armour slot and hand.
• The color indicates the remaining durability:
  • Green — more than 50% remains
  • Yellow — more than 20% and up to 50% remains
  • Red — 20% or less remains
• The value represents durability remaining, so a reading of 0/maximum means the item has no durability left.
• The HUD refreshes automatically about every quarter of a second.

Progression And Strategy

Use the HUD to avoid unexpectedly losing important equipment:

• Replace or repair items when their readings turn yellow.
• Treat red readings as an immediate warning before entering combat or using the item for extended mining.
• Check armour durability after taking heavy damage.
• Watch both hand readings when switching between a tool, weapon, shield, or other durable item.
• Keep spare equipment ready when several slots are approaching zero durability.
