Thunder God Hammer

Quickstart

1. Craft the Thunder God Hammer using iron ingots and a lightning rod (see recipe below).
2. Equip the hammer in your hand.
3. Attack any mob or player to strike them with lightning and chain electricity to nearby enemies.
4. Use the hammer (right-click / trigger item use) to call down a bolt of lightning at whatever you're looking at, while empowering yourself with Speed and Strength. This ability recharges every 5 seconds.

Overview

The Thunder God Hammer transforms you into a wielder of storm magic, inspired by the legendary weapon of the thunder god. It's a powerful epic-rarity melee weapon that channels lightning into every strike and lets you unleash devastating storm calls at will.

• Thunder God Hammer — a single craftable weapon item with two lightning-powered abilities: an electrifying melee strike and an on-demand thunder call.

Abilities And Mechanics

Electric Strike (melee attacks) Every time you hit an entity with the hammer:

• A lightning bolt strikes the target directly.
• The target is afflicted with a strong Slowness effect, as if paralyzed by the shock.
• The target is knocked back with tremendous force in the direction you're facing.
• Nearby enemies within a few blocks have a chance to be struck by chain lightning as well, also suffering slowness — perfect for hitting groups of foes.

Thunder Call (use the hammer) Using the hammer channels storm energy through you:

• You gain temporary Speed and a long, strong Strength boost.
• A bolt of lightning is called down at the block or location you're aiming at (up to 20 blocks away).
• A rumble of thunder plays to punctuate the strike.
• This ability has a 5-second cooldown before it can be used again — watch for the recharge before trying to call thunder repeatedly.

Weapon Stats

• Deals solid melee damage and swings like a heavy weapon (tagged as a hammer/weapon/tool).
• Has high durability, though it can wear down with use.
• Can be enchanted like other melee weapons.
• Can be repaired with iron ingots or netherite ingots at an anvil, with netherite restoring more durability.
• Effective at breaking stone, ore, and even obsidian faster than most tools.

Progression And Strategy

Use Electric Strike in melee combat to control fights — the slowness and knockback make it excellent for keeping enemies at bay or peeling groups off you with chain lightning. Save Thunder Call for tougher fights or when you need a burst of Speed and Strength before diving into combat, or to snipe distant threats with a lightning strike. Keep the hammer repaired with iron or netherite ingots to keep your storm powers going strong.
