Description
Wield an amethyst blade and unleash devastating crystal spikes.
Mod Wiki
Amethyst Spikeblade
Quickstart
- Gather amethyst shards and a stick.
- Use a crafting table to make the Amethyst Spikeblade:

- Equip the blade in your hotbar and attack a mob. Each successful hit creates a short row of crystal-like spikes around the target and deals additional damage.
- Craft the matching Spikeplate armor from more amethyst shards, then equip it in the normal armor slots.
Overview
Amethyst Spikeblade adds an amethyst melee weapon and a complete four-piece armor set:
- Amethyst Spikeblade — a high-damage sword that summons magical spikes when it hits.
- Amethyst Spikeplate Helmet
- Amethyst Spikeplate Chestplate
- Amethyst Spikeplate Leggings
- Amethyst Spikeplate Boots
All items are non-stackable. The weapon and armor can be enchanted and repaired with amethyst shards.
What It Adds
Amethyst Spikeblade
The Amethyst Spikeblade is a sword with:
- 20 base attack damage
- 500 durability
- Sword enchantment support
- A special hit effect that summons three evocation fangs in a row around the struck target
- An additional 12 damage applied on a successful hit when the target can receive damage
- An amethyst chime sound at the impact location
Amethyst Spikeplate Armor
| Item | Armor slot | Protection | Durability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amethyst Spikeplate Helmet | Head | 3 | 363 |
| Amethyst Spikeplate Chestplate | Chest | 8 | 528 |
| Amethyst Spikeplate Leggings | Legs | 6 | 495 |
| Amethyst Spikeplate Boots | Feet | 3 | 429 |
The armor pieces are individually enchantable and have no required set order.
How To Use
Triggering the Spikeblade
Hold the Amethyst Spikeblade and attack a target normally. When the hit connects:
- Three short-lived evocation fangs appear across the target’s position.
- The target receives the blade’s normal attack damage.
- The blade applies an additional 12 damage when possible.
- An amethyst chime provides impact feedback.
The spikes are centered on the target and spread across a short horizontal line, so the effect is most useful when fighting enemies at close range.
Equipping the Armor
Place each Spikeplate piece in its matching armor slot:
- Helmet in the head slot
- Chestplate in the chest slot
- Leggings in the legs slot
- Boots in the feet slot
The armor works as regular wearable equipment and does not require the Amethyst Spikeblade to function.
Crafting And Obtaining
Every item is crafted at a crafting table using amethyst shards. Recipes unlock when you have the required ingredients.
Amethyst Spikeblade
The blade uses two amethyst shards and one stick:

Amethyst Spikeplate Helmet

Amethyst Spikeplate Chestplate

Amethyst Spikeplate Leggings

Amethyst Spikeplate Boots
Repairing
Repair the Spikeblade or any Spikeplate armor piece with amethyst shards. The blade receives a substantial repair from each shard, while armor pieces are repaired by a smaller amount per shard.
Abilities And Mechanics
- The Spikeblade’s special attack activates automatically on a successful melee hit; no separate button or charged attack is required.
- The summoned spikes are temporary visual hazards that provide a second source of damage.
- The effect can still provide the blade’s extra direct damage even if a spike cannot be created.
- The blade is treated as a sword, allowing sword enchantments.
- Spikeplate armor pieces support armor enchantments appropriate to their equipment slots.
- Durability is consumed during normal use. Watch the durability bar and repair equipment with amethyst shards before it breaks.
Progression And Strategy
Start by crafting the Spikeblade as soon as you have amethyst shards and a stick. Its high base damage and automatic spike attack make it effective against individual mobs and groups clustered near the struck target.
Craft the chestplate first for the greatest listed protection, then complete the rest of the Spikeplate set for balanced coverage. Keep extra amethyst shards available so the weapon and armor can be repaired during extended exploration or combat.
