    Description:

    VILLAGES ALIVE - A mod series that brings you helpful villagers to make your build easier. Finally Bowman Bart, Bufford and Bob are here to protect your village! Place the craftable Guard Tower block while facing any direction to instantly build a full 17×17 guard-tower compound 10 blocks in front of you: it clears a 17×17 area up to 32 blocks high, flattens to grass, removes non-player entities, erects a 16×16 oak-fence perimeter with centered openings and exterior torch lighting, and constructs a compact 9×9 three-story watchtower with a stone base, wooden upper levels, well-lit walkable floors (paired lanterns on each level) and a doorway flush with the surrounding foundation; an internal ladder column is attached to the face of the central vertical log nearest the front doorway so the ladder takes you to the second and third floors as needed, and decorative ground cover will not block spawns or movement. Five seconds after the build finishes Bowman Bart spawns three blocks in front of the tower door as the tower’s main guard, tied to that tower and patrolling a 64-block radius with the tower being it's center; when he detects hostiles he fires visible flaming crossbow bolts that burn targets and summons a temporary pair of allied helpers—Bowman Bob and Bowman Bufford—to assist once per threat before they automatically disappear so Bart can return to patrol. All addon guards share an allied relationship so they never target or retaliate against one another (friendly-fire is ignored at the damage and targeting level), and if the main Bowman Bart is killed he will be replaced at the same tower exactly 30 seconds later, resuming his normal patrol with no duplicate permanent Bart instances while helpers are cleaned up during the downtime.

    Quickstart

    1. Craft a Guard Tower Plot block at a crafting table:

    1. Find a reasonably flat, open area and face the direction you want the tower's entrance to look.
    2. Place the Guard Tower Plot block on the ground. The compound instantly builds itself 10 blocks in front of you.
    3. Wait about 5 seconds — Bowman Bart spawns just outside the tower door, ready to patrol and defend.

    Overview

    Villages Alive Guard Tower lets you instantly erect a fully functional guard compound anywhere in your world. One placed block triggers an automated construction sequence that clears the land, builds a walled perimeter, raises a three-story watchtower, and posts a named crossbow guard to protect the area — all without any commands or Creative mode required.

    How To Use

    Placing the Tower

    Face the direction you want the front entrance to face, then place the Guard Tower Plot block. The mod reads your facing direction at the moment of placement. The compound generates centered 10 blocks ahead of that spot, so make sure there is enough open space.

    What Gets Built

    • A 17×17 area is cleared up to 32 blocks high and flattened to grass.
    • A 16×16 oak-fence perimeter is erected around the compound with a centered opening on the front face and exterior torch lighting.
    • A 9×9 three-story watchtower rises in the center: stone base, wooden upper levels, lantern-lit walkable floors on each story, and a doorway aligned with the surrounding foundation.
    • A climbable ladder column runs up the interior, attached to the central log nearest the front door, giving access to every floor.

    The Guard Arrives

    Five seconds after the build completes, Bowman Bart spawns just outside the front door. He is persistent — he will not despawn naturally — and patrols a 64-block radius around his tower.


    Abilities And Mechanics

    Bowman Bart

    • Health: 40 HP
    • Gear: Crossbow, torch, and a full set of enchanted leather armor (Protection IV, Unbreaking III, Mending, Thorns III on all pieces, plus bonus enchants on each slot such as Feather Falling on boots and Respiration on helmet)
    • Attack range: 32 blocks; fires flaming crossbow bolts that burn targets on hit
    • Targets: Monsters and undead within 64 blocks (line of sight required)
    • Respawn: If Bart is killed, he automatically respawns at his tower after 30 seconds. There will never be duplicate permanent Barts at the same tower.

    Bowman Bob & Bowman Bufford

    When Bart engages hostiles he calls in two temporary helpers — Bowman Bob and Bowman Bufford — who spawn beside him and join the fight. They are removed automatically once the threat is dealt with, so Bart can resume solo patrol. Helpers are summoned once per threat encounter.

    Friendly Fire Prevention

    All guards from this mod (Bart, Bob, and Bufford) share an allied relationship. They cannot damage each other — attacks between them deal no damage and guards will never target one another.


    Crafting And Obtaining

    The Guard Tower Plot block is crafted at a crafting table. It drops itself when mined (fastest with an axe) so you can recover and reuse it if you place it in the wrong spot before the build triggers — though once the block is placed and the tower starts building, the structure itself is permanent.


    Progression And Strategy

    • Early placement matters: The tower clears everything in a 17×17 column up to 32 blocks high and removes non-player entities in the area. Choose your spot carefully to avoid destroying builds or displacing useful mobs.
    • Face the right way: The entrance, Bart's spawn point, and the ladder orientation all depend on the direction you are facing when you place the block. Take a moment to orient yourself before placing.
    • Multiple towers: You can build as many towers as you like. Each tower gets its own independent Bowman Bart, and all guards across all towers are allied — they will cooperate if their patrol radii overlap.
    • Protecting villages: Placing a tower near a village gives you a persistent armed guard with a 64-block patrol radius, automatic reinforcements on combat, and a guaranteed respawn if he falls — making it a reliable way to keep settlements safe through hostile nights.

    Spellstorm Grimoire is a mystical book that gives you a huge arsenal of castable spells — lightning, fireball (and huge fireball), water surge, a visible black hole vortex, earth pillar, deflect, light, heavy, time stop, gravity, a floating sword attack, high velocity, heal, shield, teleport (recharging charges), freeze, an instant explosion, Domain Expansion, Zoltraak, and six devastating ultimates including Atomic, Meteor Swarm, Annihilation Halo, Time Erasure, Divine Chains, and World Rend. Controls are simple: Sneak + Use opens the spell picker (sorted by power), Use fires or shoots the selected spell at range (or places/aims terrain-targeted effects when used on a block), and self-only spells (Deflect, High Velocity, Heal, Domain Expansion and ultimates) activate immediately; Teleport recharges automatically and Domain Expansion creates a sealed arena that traps and damages foes. The Atomic ultimate has been made far more cinematic and destructive — selecting Atomic from the picker and using it while standing clear starts a brief camera zoom and purple charge beam, then detonates in a much larger purple blast with expanding shock-rings (now reaching roughly 48 blocks), a stronger bedrock-scouring core, and a taller, longer-lasting purple pillar; it has a 5 Minecraft day cooldown and will display “Atomic is recharging…” if used too soon.
