    Description:

    VILLAGES ALIVE - A mod series that brings you helpful villagers to make your build easier. Finally The Knight of Ni, The Knight of Shrubbery, and the Knight of Fleshwound (and their clones) are here to protect your village! Now the good stuff... Five seconds after construction a trio of Knights spawn at fixed positions — Knight of Ni (leather armor, stone sword and torch), Knight of Shrubbery (enchanted iron armor, iron sword, and shield), and Knight of Fleshwound (enchanted netherite with extra health, diamond sword, and shield) — each registered to its tower and beginning staggered patrols; when a knight detects a hostile it spawns two anonymous clone helpers and all three focus the same target until the target or the original dies, clones then despawn and originals respawn at their tower after 30 seconds, with their patrols and ground‑level movement preserved. And now the boring stuff... Villages Alive: Knight's Tower adds a craftable Knight Tower block that, when placed, is consumed to instantly generate a fully built, grid‑aligned medieval knight’s compound 10 blocks in front of you. It clears and rebuilds the footprint and yard, aligns the door, creates three connected 9×9 rooms with a ladder to lookout floors, arrow‑slits, lanterns, roofs, a lightning rod, and an oak‑fence ring with torches.

    Villages Alive: Knight's Tower

    Quickstart

    1. Gather Stone Bricks, a Lantern, and Oak Planks, then craft a Knight Tower Plot block at a crafting table (recipe below).
    2. Find a flat-ish open area and face the direction you want the tower entrance.
    3. Place the Knight Tower Plot block on the ground. It is instantly consumed and a fully built medieval knight's compound generates 10 blocks ahead of where you placed it.
    4. Wait about 5 seconds — three named guards will spawn and begin patrolling the compound.

    Overview

    Villages Alive: Knight's Tower lets you summon a complete medieval fortification anywhere in your world with a single crafted block. The tower generates instantly, fully furnished, and comes pre-populated with three unique humanoid knights who patrol, fight surface threats, call for backup, and respawn if killed. It is a self-contained defensive outpost you can place wherever you need protection or atmosphere.


    What It Adds

    The Knight Tower Plot Block

    A placeable block found in the Construction category of your inventory. Placing it triggers instant tower construction and consumes the block. It can be broken and picked back up (about 1.5 seconds with a pickaxe) before placing if you need to reposition.

    The Tower Structure

    When generated, the compound includes:

    • Three connected 9×9 rooms at ground level
    • A ladder leading up to lookout floors
    • Arrow slits for visibility
    • Lanterns for interior lighting
    • Spruce and oak roofs
    • A lightning rod at the top
    • An oak fence perimeter lined with torches

    The tower aligns its door to the direction you were facing when you placed the plot block and clears any existing terrain in the footprint before building.

    The Three Knights

    All three knights have 40 health and display their names above their heads. They are registered to the tower they spawned from and will not wander away permanently.


    How To Use

    Placing the Tower

    Stand on reasonably flat, open ground with at least ~10 blocks of clear space ahead of you. Place the Knight Tower Plot block. The structure builds immediately in front of you. For best results, avoid placing it near cliff edges, over water, or inside existing buildings — the mod clears the footprint area to make room.

    Living With Your Knights

    Once the three knights spawn, they begin staggered patrols around the compound at ground level. You can walk among them freely — they are not hostile to players.

    When a knight spots a hostile mob on the surface near the tower, it:

    1. Calls two clone helpers (unnamed copies of itself) to join the fight.
    2. All three knights focus the same target.
    3. Clones despawn once the fight ends.
    4. If a knight is killed, it respawns at its tower position after 30 seconds and resumes patrol.

    Knights ignore underground and cave mobs — hostiles that are beneath solid terrain will not draw the knights away from their posts. Only surface threats trigger combat.


    Abilities And Mechanics

    Clone Reinforcement

    Each original knight can independently summon two clones when engaging a target. In a worst case, all three knights could each call clones, putting up to nine humanoid combatants against a single threat. Clones vanish after the fight; only the three named originals persist.

    Respawn System

    If a knight is killed, it is not gone permanently. After 30 seconds, the knight respawns at the position it originally spawned from within the tower and immediately resumes patrol. Their gear, name, and patrol behavior are fully restored.

    Surface-Only Engagement

    Knights check whether a hostile mob is on open terrain near the tower before engaging. Zombies or skeletons underground or in caves beneath the compound are ignored, keeping the knights visible and on patrol at all times rather than getting distracted by mobs they cannot reach.


    Progression And Strategy

    • Early game: A Knight Tower Plot is inexpensive — stone bricks, a lantern, and oak planks. Place one near your base for a surface-mob deterrent almost immediately.
    • Mid game: The Knight of Shrubbery and Knight of Fleshwound are powerful combatants with fully enchanted iron and netherite gear respectively. A tower near a village or farm provides reliable hostile-mob control overnight.
    • Multiple towers: Nothing prevents you from crafting and placing several towers. Each set of knights is registered to its own tower and operates independently, so you can create a network of fortified outposts.
    • Positioning matters: Because the tower generates 10 blocks ahead of you and clears the footprint, scout the area first. Hilltops with clear sightlines are ideal — the knights can spot and engage surface threats easily, and the lookout floors give the compound a commanding presence.
    • Knight of Fleshwound as anchor: With netherite armor, Thorns III on every piece, and a Sharpness V diamond sword, the Knight of Fleshwound is extremely durable. If you're facing a dangerous night, position yourself near the tower so the knights' clone reinforcement system can help handle large mob groups.

    Spellstorm Grimoire is a mystical book that gives you a huge arsenal of castable spells — lightning, fireball (and huge fireball), water surge, a visible black hole vortex, earth pillar, deflect, light, heavy, time stop, gravity, a floating sword attack, high velocity, heal, shield, teleport (recharging charges), freeze, an instant explosion, Domain Expansion, Zoltraak, and six devastating ultimates including Atomic, Meteor Swarm, Annihilation Halo, Time Erasure, Divine Chains, and World Rend. Controls are simple: Sneak + Use opens the spell picker (sorted by power), Use fires or shoots the selected spell at range (or places/aims terrain-targeted effects when used on a block), and self-only spells (Deflect, High Velocity, Heal, Domain Expansion and ultimates) activate immediately; Teleport recharges automatically and Domain Expansion creates a sealed arena that traps and damages foes. The Atomic ultimate has been made far more cinematic and destructive — selecting Atomic from the picker and using it while standing clear starts a brief camera zoom and purple charge beam, then detonates in a much larger purple blast with expanding shock-rings (now reaching roughly 48 blocks), a stronger bedrock-scouring core, and a taller, longer-lasting purple pillar; it has a 5 Minecraft day cooldown and will display “Atomic is recharging…” if used too soon.
