Description:
The Virus Mod transforms Minecraft into a structured raid experience. A parasitic alien faction called the Hygrons invades your world through dimensional rifts. To push them back, you must breach their home dimension — the Hygron Core — a sprawling, connected stronghold filled with enemies, minibosses, and a ladder of increasingly powerful cinematic bosses. The mod also adds dedicated raid-tier gear: the Infection armor set and the Virusbreaker Blade.

Right-click the Hygron Rift Beacon to summon an invasion. The beacon has a cooldown after use. A portal structure spawns nearby and enemies immediately pour out. A world-wide message alerts all players.
For 90 seconds after activating the rift, the portal is sealed. During this time, Hygron defenders and a portal-defense spawning force attack continuously. You must:
The portal block itself will display an action-bar message telling you exactly what condition is still blocking entry, so you always know what to tackle next.
Keep your Hygron Rift Beacon in your inventory and walk into the Hygron Portal. You will be teleported to the start of the Hygron Core dungeon.
The Core is a long, linear-but-connected stronghold running through themed sections:
You will encounter roaming patrols, ambush rooms, minibosses, and major boss lairs. A beginning exit portal near the start of the Core lets you safely return to the Overworld at any time without consequences. The final exit portal at the far end returns you to the Overworld and collapses the invasion rift permanently.
Bosses occupy fixed lairs along the Core's path. Each successive boss is scaled higher on the raid ladder — gaining more HP, damage, armor, movement speed, and increasingly dangerous auras. Later bosses enter rage phases with additional pressure abilities. Bosses start at 220 HP and scale upward by roughly 55 HP per ladder tier (with accelerating bonuses at higher tiers). Each killed boss grants substantial experience and drops a Hygron Boss Relic.
Completing the entire run and defeating Finilized at the throne room earns the "Virusbreaker" challenge advancement.
The Infection armor is netherite-equivalent raid gear (same enchantability tier, repaired with netherite materials). Wearing pieces grants strong base armor, toughness, and durability.
Chestplate alone: Passively applies Resistance I every few seconds.
Full set (Helmet + Chestplate + Leggings + Boots):
The set bonuses refresh every few seconds as long as the full set is worn.
A powerful netherite-tier sword. It can be used in two ways:
Left-click (normal melee attack): Deals high melee damage. Each normal hit against a Hygron sets them briefly on fire. Durability is consumed per hit (extra durability cost against bosses).
Right-click (Virusbreaker Pulse):
Pre-raid preparation: Before activating the beacon, gear up well. The invasion begins immediately and the rift lock period is hostile. Netherite-level gear is recommended at minimum.
Use the beginning portal wisely: If you enter the Core unprepared or depleted, the safe exit portal near the start lets you return, restock, and re-enter — as long as your invasion rift is still active.
Build the Infection set: Infection armor pieces are found as raid loot inside the Core. Assembling the full set dramatically improves survivability for deeper runs, since the auto-cleanse on Poison and Wither is especially valuable against Corruption Casters.
Prioritize the Virusbreaker Blade: The right-click pulse is most effective in tight corridors and ambush rooms where multiple Hygrons cluster together. Save it for dense encounters rather than burning it on single targets.
Boss ladder escalation: Early bosses serve as gear checks. If a boss feels overwhelming, use the beginning portal to retreat, upgrade your Infection armor pieces, and return. Later bosses (Mirror King, NEXUS-0, Heart of Infection, Finilized) feature rage phases at low health and persistent damaging auras — stay mobile and use the full Infection set's regeneration to recover between ability patterns.
Final goal: Reach Finilized in the castle throne room, defeat the Endsilla Clone, and step through the final exit portal. The invasion rift collapses, the storm ends, and the "Virusbreaker" challenge advancement is awarded to your entire party.

Unleash an onslaught of explosive fireballs with the Netherite Firestorm Machine Gun—right-click to activate and hold to continuously fire up to ten blazing shots per second. Shift + right-click to toggle the weapon on or off, and feel the powerful recoil push you back with every explosive blast. Built from netherite, it boasts exceptional durability so you can keep raining fiery devastation without breaking your gun.

A magma flame-thrower that fires fiery projectiles which place a magma block and ignite nearby blocks on impact. Right-click to fire; each impact now creates dramatic explosion flashes, lava droplets, flame clouds, smoke plumes and expanding rings of sparks with layered blast/lava/blaze sounds, and scorches nearby entities with falloff damage, brief fire, and a small knockback burst.

Hey, you! Do you hate making a bunch of potions for you or your friends? Hate wasting the bottles to shatter against mobs? Behold the catalyst jar! The catalyst Jar stores a drinkable potion and, when activated, creates a 5‑block radius cloud that follows you and reapplies the potion’s effects every second for the jar’s active duration. To use: hold a drinkable potion in your off‑hand and right‑click with the jar in your main hand to fill it (potion consumed, bottle returned), right‑click to activate the cloud. sneak + right‑click without a catalyst to cycle target mode (All → Players only → Mobs only), and sneak + right‑click with a catalyst in the off‑hand to consume it and upgrade the jar’s tier/duration (Base 20s; Coal 30s; Iron 60s; Gold 90s; Diamond 120s; Netherite 180s). While the jar is active you cannot refill, upgrade, or change modes (you’ll see “The jar is active. Please wait until it finishes.”), and Instant Health/Damage potions are blocked — attempts to fill with them are rejected due to how overpowered it is.

C00Lgui is a fully opaque black paper item with a red outline and white “c00lgui” label that lets you store and revisit custom teleport points. Shift + Right-click any solid block to add a new teleport point (no cooldown), then Right-click to initiate a 6-second charge before whisking you to your last placed point (35-second cooldown afterward). Moving during the charge cancels the teleport, and all teleports include safety checks and respect protected areas.
