Olympus

Quickstart

1. Open the Creative inventory, or craft a Celestial Key.
2. Hold the key and use it to travel from the Overworld to Olympus. It is reusable.
3. You arrive high in the sky, around Y=155, so bring blocks or use Solid Cloud to make a safe landing platform.
4. Explore the floating quartz islands. Harvest Sunwood from the golden trees and collect Olympian Marble, Solid Cloud, and Golden Canopy for building.
5. Craft a Celestial Bronze weapon or armor set and test the special weapon abilities against the Olympus creatures.
6. Use the Celestial Key again in Olympus to return safely to the Overworld.

Overview

Olympus is a golden sky-world of floating quartz islands, solid clouds, golden trees, and marble pillars. It provides:

How To Use

Traveling with the Celestial Key

Use the Celestial Key while holding it:

• From the Overworld, it sends you to Olympus.
• From Olympus, it returns you to the Overworld spawn area.
• The key is not consumed.
• Players under Divine Exile cannot use the key to enter Olympus until the exile is cleared.

The arrival point is high above the Olympus landscape. Establish a bridge or platform before moving between islands.

Exploring the sky islands

Use Solid Cloud to cross gaps between islands and create landing platforms. Sunwood can be turned into planks and sticks for tools, weapons, and decorative construction. Olympian Marble and Golden Canopy are useful for temples, gardens, and other sky-world builds.

Abilities And Mechanics

Celestial Bronze armory

• Celestial Bronze Xiphos: Deals an additional burst of magic damage when striking hostile creatures.
• Celestial Bronze Kopis: Slows enemies hit by the blade.
• Celestial Bronze Dagger: Grants increased movement speed while held in the main hand.
• Greek Dory Spear: Use it to thrust at targets up to four blocks away. A successful thrust deals damage and applies Weakness.
• Celestial Bronze Bow: Fires compatible arrows.
• Celestial Bronze Arrows: Deal heavy damage to hostile creatures.
• Greek Aspis: Functions as a shield and uses Celestial Bronze construction.

Wearing the complete Celestial Bronze armor set grants Speed and Resistance.

Imperial Gold armory

• Imperial Gold Gladius: Sneak while striking to perform an additional close-range attack.
• Imperial Gold Spatha: Has a chance to call down a cosmetic lightning strike on a target and deal bonus magic damage.
• Imperial Gold Pugio: Killing an enemy with it releases additional experience.
• Roman Pilum: Hold the use button and release it to throw the pilum. A hit deals damage and applies Armor Sundering for five seconds, reducing the target's armor toughness.
• Imperial Gold Legion Bow: Fires Imperial Gold Arrows.
• Imperial Gold Arrows: Deal very high damage to hostile creatures and explode on impact, damaging nearby hostiles.
• Roman Scutum: Functions as a shield and provides extremely strong knockback resistance.

Wearing the complete Imperial Gold armor set grants Fire Resistance, Strength, and Slowness. The set is powerful for dangerous combat but makes movement slower.

Aegis

Raise the Aegis like a normal shield to block attacks. It also provides additional knockback resistance.

Its Gorgon's Ward pulse affects visible hostile creatures within five blocks that are facing you:

• Applies strong Slowness
• Applies Weakness
• Has a short cooldown between activations

Hermes' Winged Shoes

Use the shoes to unfurl their wings and gain flight. Use them again to fold the wings away and descend safely.

Leo's Magical Toolbelt

Use the toolbelt to access its storage and supply function. The toolbelt can produce practical supplies, but the supply function has a 30-second recharge.

Greek Fire

The Greek Fire Flask launches Greek Fire. Greek Fire damage bypasses:

• Armor
• Resistance
• Other protective effects
• Shields

Use it carefully around structures and other players.

Dionysian Elixirs

The wine barrel and Festive Vineyard can mix a random elixir when supplied with sweet berries. Possible results include:

• Dionysian Elixir of Strength
• Dionysian Elixir of Haste
• Dionysian Elixir of Regeneration

Progression And Strategy

1. Make a Celestial Key. Its recipe requires all four elemental essences, Celestial Bronze, Imperial Gold, a Copper Nugget, and a Nether Star.
2. Prepare for the arrival height. Carry blocks, food, and a ranged weapon before entering Olympus.
3. Gather Sunwood and sky-world blocks. Sunwood supplies the sticks and planks needed by much of the Roman equipment.
4. Start with Celestial Bronze. Its armor grants Speed and Resistance, making it a useful exploration set.
5. Move to Imperial Gold for combat. Its armor grants Fire Resistance and Strength, while the weapon set offers explosive arrows, thrown pilums, and specialized blades.
6. Use the correct weapon for the situation.
   • Use the Dory for long-range melee thrusts.
   • Use the Pilum to weaken armored targets.
   • Use the Kopis to slow dangerous enemies.
   • Use the Pugio when experience is important.
   • Use Imperial Gold Arrows against groups of hostiles.
7. Visit Olympus's divine locations. The Greenhouse, Crucible, Archivist, Vineyard, and mechanical anvil provide growth, upgrades, enchantments, elixirs, and item cleansing.
8. Keep the Celestial Key available. It provides a reliable return route if you become stranded on a floating island.
