Soulglass Reaver

Quickstart

1. Craft the Soulglass Reaver using the recipe below.
2. Hold it and right-click a living mob that is in sight and within 6 blocks. The target must have less than 30 health. Capturing removes the mob and stores its soul in the Reaver.
3. Hold Shift and right-click to summon one stored soul. It appears just ahead of you and attacks nearby hostiles.
4. To dismiss all your active summons, hold the Reaver and press Shift while scrolling the mouse wheel.

Overview

The Soulglass Reaver is a single-item weapon for capturing weakened mobs and summoning them as temporary allies. It can hold up to five captured souls, and you can have up to five of your summons active at once.

What It Adds

• Soulglass Reaver: A sword that can capture eligible mobs and summon stored souls. It also grants +7 attack damage and applies a −2.4 attack speed modifier while held in your main hand.
• Summoned allies: Captured mobs return as glowing, purple-aura allies that automatically seek out hostile mobs.

How To Use

Capture: Face a living mob and right-click with the Reaver. Your target must be within 6 blocks, have less than 30 health, and not be blocked from your view. Captures use one of the Reaver’s five soul slots.

Summon: Hold Shift and right-click with the Reaver to summon one stored soul. Summoning consumes that stored soul. You can have at most five active summons at a time.

Summons automatically pursue nearby hostile mobs. Each lasts up to 60 seconds; a summon that dies or is dismissed is not returned to the Reaver.

Dismiss: With the Reaver in either hand, hold Shift and scroll the mouse wheel to dismiss all your active summons. This does not remove souls still stored in the Reaver.

• Captures work on living mobs with less than 30 health; a target at exactly 30 health is too powerful.
• Both stored souls and active summons have a limit of five.
• Summons pursue hostile mobs automatically and have a visible purple glow and aura.
• The Reaver is a single-item weapon and cannot be stacked.

Progression And Strategy

Weaken a suitable mob before trying to capture it, then summon it when you need help against hostile mobs. Keep the Reaver handy: Shift-right-click spends a stored soul, while Shift-scroll dismisses your active summons.
