Quickstart

1. Stand where you want your arena to appear, then run /coliseum start to begin a default 3-wave match.
2. You will be given a Coliseum Sniper and teleported into a freshly built arena.
3. Fight off waves of enemies with your sniper — survive to earn your glory.
4. Run /coliseum stop at any time to end your current match.
5. Want a longer challenge? Use /coliseum start <waves> with a number from 1 to 8.

Overview

Sharpshooter Coliseum turns any spot in your world into a Roman-style gladiator arena. Instead of swords and shields, you fight with a long-range sniper rifle against waves of hostile mobs. Each match is self-contained: the arena is built for you, you're armed automatically, and the action starts immediately.

What It Adds

• Coliseum Sniper – a rugged sniper rifle for dueling in the arena.
• /coliseum commands – tools to start, stop, and manage matches.
• Arena Sessions – a temporary coliseum structure that spawns waves of enemies for you to fight.

How To Use

Starting a Match

Run:

/coliseum start

This builds an arena just ahead of your current position, teleports you into it, hands you a Coliseum Sniper, and begins spawning the first wave of enemies. By default you'll face 3 waves.

To choose how many waves to survive (between 1 and 8), specify a number:

/coliseum start 5

Stopping a Match

If you want to end your current session early, run:

/coliseum stop

This clears your active arena session. If you have no match running, you'll be told there's nothing to stop.

Getting a Rifle for Someone Else

Server operators (permission level 2+) can hand a Coliseum Sniper directly to another player:

/coliseum rifle <player>

This is useful for spectators, helpers, or setting up multiplayer duels without needing them to start their own match.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Coliseum Sniper is not crafted through a traditional recipe — it is issued automatically when you start a coliseum match, or given by an operator using the /coliseum rifle command. Simply start a match to receive one.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The Coliseum Sniper is a durable ranged weapon (holding a charge of up to 384 uses before wearing out) designed specifically for arena combat. It only stacks one at a time — treat it as your primary combat tool for the duration of a match.
• Wave Survival – Starting a match spawns hostile enemies (armed pillager-type foes) into your arena in successive waves. Clear a wave to progress toward completing the match.
• Arena Generation – Each time you start a match, a coliseum-style arena is constructed around your chosen location so you always have a proper battleground, regardless of the surrounding terrain.
• Session Management – Only one active coliseum session can run per player at a time. Starting a new match while one is active will replace the old session.

Progression And Strategy

• Start with the default 3-wave match to learn the rifle's range and handling before attempting longer runs.
• Use your sniper's range advantage to pick off enemies before they close the distance — this is a ranged-combat challenge, not a melee brawl.
• Increase the wave count (up to 8) once you're comfortable, for a tougher, longer duel and greater bragging rights as a coliseum sharpshooter.
• Keep an eye on your rifle's durability over a long match, since it can wear down with heavy use.
• If a match becomes unwinnable or you need to reset, use /coliseum stop and start fresh with /coliseum start.
