Redeye Bear Maul
Quickstart
Craft the maul at a crafting table using the recipe below, or find it in the Combat tab in Creative mode. Hold it and right-click to charge; release, then left-click a living target to unleash the charged blow. Try holding for at least 2 seconds for the strongest charge.
Overview
The Redeye Bear Maul is a heavy melee weapon with a chargeable strike. Red sparks appear while you hold it, and a charged hit knocks the target and nearby creatures away.
How To Use
- Hold right-click with the maul equipped. A charge needs at least 16 ticks (0.8 seconds).
- Release right-click to store the charge.
- Hit a living target with a melee attack to spend the charge.
A new charge starts when you begin holding right-click again.

Abilities And Mechanics
- Charge levels: 1 at 16–27 ticks, 2 at 28–39 ticks, and 3 at 40 ticks or more. Holding longer than 40 ticks does not increase the charge further.
- A charged hit deals an extra 5, 7, or 9 damage to its target, depending on charge level, and knocks it back.
- The impact also damages and knocks back nearby living creatures other than you and the struck target. The extra damage is 2.5, 3.5, or 4.5, respectively.
- Block particles appear around the target if there is a block beneath it.
- In your main hand, the maul adds 8 attack damage and has a −3.2 attack-speed modifier. It can receive mace enchantments.
Progression And Strategy
Charge before closing in, and aim for groups when you want the impact to affect nearby creatures too. Use the 16-tick charge for a quicker powered hit; wait 40 ticks for maximum damage and knockback.
