Reactor Destruction

Quickstart

1. Mine Reactor Ingot Ore and Glowing Ingot Ore with a diamond (or better) pickaxe to collect Reactor Ingots and Glowing Ingots.
2. Craft a full set of Reactor tools and armor from the recipes below.
3. Craft the Reactor Beam and use it alongside your ingots to build the Reactor Chestplate.
4. Equip the Reactor Chestplate and go fight — when you die while wearing it, it detonates and yanks your dropped items back toward the blast.
5. Craft Uranium Arrows and fire them from a bow for irradiated ranged damage.
6. Watch out for Reactor Zombies and Reactor Skeletons, tougher glowing variants of the classic undead.
7. Combine a Reactor Destruction Enchanting Book with a Reactor Chestplate at an anvil to enchant it directly.

Overview

Reactor Destruction adds a radioactive-themed set of tools, weapons, armor, and mobs built around a new material: the Reactor Ingot, refined alongside a rarer Glowing Ingot. The signature piece is the Reactor Chestplate, which turns your death into a controlled explosion that drags your lost loot back near the blast site instead of scattering it.

What It Adds

Materials

• Reactor Ingot — base crafting material, smelted from Reactor Ingot Ore
• Glowing Ingot — secondary, rarer material, smelted from Glowing Ingot Ore
• Reactor Beam — a crafted component used in high-tier gear

Crafting And Obtaining

Mine Reactor Ingot Ore and Glowing Ingot Ore (diamond pickaxe or better required) and smelt them into ingots. From there, craft:

The Reactor Beam is a key ingredient for the Reactor Axe and Reactor Chestplate, so craft it early if you're aiming for the full set.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Explosive Chestplate: The Reactor Chestplate triggers an explosion when its wearer dies. The blast pulls the player's dropped items toward the explosion point, helping you recover your loot instead of losing it to scatter or lava.
• Reactor Destruction Enchantment: Applying the Reactor Destruction Enchanting Book to a Reactor Chestplate in an anvil grants the chestplate the Reactor Destruction enchantment, enhancing its death-blast behavior. This can be done for a minimal anvil cost.
• Uranium Arrows: A stronger arrow type for use with any bow, crafted from Reactor Ingots.
• Reactor Tools: Function as an upgraded tool tier for mining, chopping, and digging, on par with the mod's high-end material.
• Reactor Mobs: Reactor Zombies and Reactor Skeletons are visual/combat variants of standard undead mobs found naturally spawning in the world.

Progression And Strategy

Start by locating and mining Reactor Ingot Ore and Glowing Ingot Ore with a diamond pickaxe. Build up tools first for efficient mining, then armor for survivability. Prioritize the Reactor Chestplate and its enchantment if you plan to take risks in combat or exploration — the loot-recovery blast means a death is far less costly. Stock up on Uranium Arrows before facing Reactor Zombies and Reactor Skeletons, which hit harder than their vanilla counterparts.
