Ebola
Quickstart
E-Bola Cells spawn naturally in every biome, so you will encounter them almost immediately after loading a world. They appear in small groups of 1–2, gliding low to the ground. If you want to spawn one manually, find the E-Bola Cell Spawn Egg in the Spawn Eggs creative tab and right-click it anywhere in the world.
⚠️ Warning: Getting touched by an E-Bola Cell applies a lethal disease. Do not let one touch you unless you are prepared for the consequences.
Overview
The E-Bola mod adds a single hostile mob — the E-Bola Cell — a small, plankton-green, wingless floating creature that drifts through the air like a bee. It is found in every biome and poses a serious, potentially permanent threat: a single touch can doom a player to death if the infection runs its course.

How To Use
Encountering E-Bola Cells
E-Bola Cells spawn naturally in groups of 1–2 across every biome as part of the hostile mob pool. They fly low, staying within roughly 8 blocks of the ground, and will actively chase players within about 24 blocks.
The E-Bola Cell Spawn Egg
The E-Bola Cell Spawn Egg is available in the Spawn Eggs tab of the Creative inventory. Right-click it to summon an E-Bola Cell at that location.
Abilities And Mechanics
Normal E-Bola Cell
- Contact Damage: Touching an E-Bola Cell deals ½ heart (1 damage) with a 9-second cooldown between hits.
- E-Bola Infection: On contact, the cell applies the E-Bola status effect — a brief, disorienting, sleep-like debuff.
- Permanent Health Reduction: Being touched permanently reduces your maximum health to ½ a heart for as long as the effect persists, via an attribute modifier.
- Lethal Expiration: When the E-Bola effect expires, the disease "runs its course" — the player is killed outright, regardless of their current health. There is no natural recovery.
- Health: 3 hearts (6 HP).
King E-Bola
Rarely, an E-Bola Cell can spawn as or become a King E-Bola — an enormous variant roughly 4× larger than the standard cell.
- Displays a pink boss health bar labeled "King E-Bola."
- Has significantly more health (10× the normal max health multiplier).
- Passively spawns additional normal E-Bola Cells around it over time.
- Has a 10% chance to spawn reinforcement E-Bola Cells when a player is killed nearby.
Mitosis
E-Bola Cells can periodically split (mitosis), spawning a new E-Bola Cell nearby roughly every 3 seconds with a random chance. This means a single cell encountered early can multiply into a dangerous swarm if not dealt with quickly.
Progression And Strategy
- Avoid contact at all costs. The permanent max-health reduction combined with the lethal effect expiration makes E-Bola Cells one of the most dangerous early-game threats. A single touch is often a death sentence.
- Kill them quickly and from a distance. Use a bow or other ranged weapon to eliminate them before they can close the gap.
- Do not ignore small groups. Thanks to mitosis, even 1–2 cells can multiply into a much larger threat if left alone.
- Watch for King E-Bola. The King's boss bar will appear on screen when you are near one. Prioritize killing it before it spawns more cells — its passive spawning ability can flood an area rapidly.
- If infected, your priority is to either find a way to cure the effect (milk from a cow clears all status effects) before it expires, or accept death and respawn. Letting the E-Bola effect run out kills you automatically.
