Prospectors Pickaxe Path
Quickstart
- On joining, look for the Prospector’s Guide in your inventory and right-click it to open it.
- Craft a Stonebreaker from a stone pickaxe, four cobblestone, and flint:
- Use the pickaxe normally to mine, or right-click with it in hand to activate its special ability. Abilities use durability and have cooldowns.
- Follow the pickaxe tiers below. Craft the first five in a crafting table; craft a Prospector’s Forge for the later upgrades.
Overview
The mod offers a progression of ten pickaxes, each with a mining perk and a right-click ability. Later tiers use the previous pickaxe as part of their upgrade, so keep it as you advance. The forge also repairs these pickaxes.

Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the first five pickaxes in a crafting table. These recipes are shapeless:

Craft the forge and place it down. It requires an iron-tier pickaxe or better to mine.
Right-click the forge to open it. For an upgrade, put the previous pickaxe and the required materials in the matching input slots, then use the forge’s action button. The forge offers the next tier in sequence:

To repair a damaged pickaxe at the forge, put it in the tool slot and one matching repair material in the repair slot. Each material restores about a quarter of the pickaxe’s maximum durability.

Abilities And Mechanics
Right-click a pickaxe to use its active ability. Each use consumes durability; the cost and cooldown increase with the tier. Mining perks work passively unless noted.

Progression And Strategy
- Work up the chain in order: each upgrade uses the previous pickaxe.
- Use Stonebreaker and Lapis Lens to locate ore, then use the ore-focused perks of later pickaxes to get more from mining.
- Keep an eye on durability: active abilities spend extra durability, and the forge can restore it using each pickaxe’s listed repair material.
