Pocket Cow

Quickstart

  1. In Creative mode, search for Pocket Cow Spawn Egg.
  2. Use the egg on the ground to spawn a Pocket Cow. It becomes tiny shortly after spawning.
  3. Hold wheat to attract Pocket Cows. Feed wheat to two adults to breed them.

  5. For testing or commands, summon one with: /summon com_pocket_cow_krlr55vk:mycow

Overview

Pocket Cow adds tiny, cow-like animals to Bedrock Edition. They behave similarly to ordinary cows while remaining at roughly 10% of the usual scale.

Pocket Cows can wander, follow parents, panic from danger, breed, be named, and be leashed. They have 10 health points, or 5 hearts.

What It Adds

  • Pocket Cow — a miniature cow mob
  • Pocket Cow Spawn Egg — available in the Creative inventory
  • Milk collection with buckets
  • Wheat-based breeding and baby growth
  • Leather and beef drops

How To Use

Finding Pocket Cows

Pocket Cows can spawn naturally:

  • On the surface of grass blocks
  • In bright conditions
  • In biomes tagged for animal spawning
  • In groups of 2–3

They are most likely to appear in open, grassy areas during the day.

Spawning Pocket Cows

In Creative mode, use the Pocket Cow Spawn Egg on a suitable block. Pocket Cows can also be summoned with:

/summon com_pocket_cow_krlr55vk:mycow

Feeding And Breeding

Pocket Cows are attracted to wheat. Feed wheat to two adult Pocket Cows to breed them and produce a tiny calf.

Baby Pocket Cows normally grow up after about 60 seconds. Feeding them wheat helps them grow faster. A small number of naturally spawned Pocket Cows may already be babies.

Collecting Milk

Hold an empty bucket and use it on an adult Pocket Cow. The bucket becomes a milk bucket.

Baby Pocket Cows cannot be milked.

Keeping Pocket Cows Nearby

Use a lead to tether a Pocket Cow to a fence or another suitable anchor. They can also be named with a Name Tag.

Drops And Experience

When killed, an adult Pocket Cow can drop:

  • 0–1 leather
  • 1–2 beef

Looting can increase these drops. If the cow is killed while on fire, the beef drops as cooked beef.

A Pocket Cow can also provide experience when bred. Killing one gives experience when the death is attributed to a player.

Progression And Strategy

  • Spawn a small herd so you can keep breeding them and maintain a milk supply.
  • Build low-clearance pens to match their miniature size, but keep them secure from hazards.
  • Use wheat to lead Pocket Cows into a pen before attaching leads.
  • Protect them from lava; they take damage while inside it.
  • Keep baby Pocket Cows with their parents until they grow up, or feed them wheat to raise them sooner.
