Gravity Wand

Quickstart

1. Craft the Gravity Wand using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your hand and aim at a mob within about 10 blocks.
3. Right-click (use item) to lock onto the mob and lift it toward the point you're looking at.
4. Right-click again to release the mob where it hangs, or hit it with the wand to launch it forward.

Overview

The Gravity Wand is a single-use magic tool that lets you seize control of a nearby mob's momentum. Point it at a target, grab it out of the air (or ground), and hold it suspended in front of you. When you're ready, you can either let it drop or smack it with the wand to send it flying in whichever direction you're facing.

What It Adds

• Gravity Wand — a one-handed tool item found in the Tools and Utilities creative tab.

How To Use

• Targeting: Aim at any living mob within roughly 10 blocks of you and use the wand (right-click). The wand automatically finds the closest mob along your line of sight.
• Holding: Once a mob is grabbed, it will float and follow the point about 3 blocks in front of your eyes, drifting smoothly to match wherever you look. The mob cannot move on its own while held.
• Releasing: Use the wand again while holding a mob to let it go, dropping it wherever it currently floats.
• Launching: Attack (melee hit) the held mob with the wand instead of releasing it normally — this hurls it forward in the direction you're facing with a strong upward-forward push.
• Only one mob can be held at a time per player, and a mob already being held by someone else cannot be targeted.
• The wand has a limited durability and can take vanishing and unbreaking-style enchantments.

Craft the Gravity Wand with the following recipe:

The recipe uses an Ender Eye, Shulker Shells, and a Gold Ingot — fitting materials for a tool that bends gravity around living creatures.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Range: Targets mobs up to 10 blocks away along your look direction.
• Hold distance: Held mobs are pulled toward a point 3 blocks in front of your eyes and follow your aim.
• Gentle pull: Movement toward the hold point is smoothed, so mobs won't snap violently into place.
• Launch force: Striking a held mob sends it flying forward and slightly upward, useful for knocking enemies off ledges or into hazards.
• The wand only affects mobs (not players or item entities), and only works when there is a valid mob in range to grab.

Progression And Strategy

Use the Gravity Wand to reposition dangerous mobs away from allies, pull mobs off high ground, or set up devastating launches into lava, water, or drops. It's especially handy for crowd control in tight spaces or for herding mobs into traps without taking damage yourself. Because it holds only one mob at a time, prioritize your most threatening target first.
