Quickstart

1. Craft a Temp V Serum using the recipe below and drink it (right-click and hold).
2. Your appearance shifts into the Homelander suit and all superhero abilities activate for 5 minutes.
3. Double-jump to take flight. While flying you are invulnerable.
4. Press = to toggle Heart-Heat X-Ray Vision and C to toggle Laser Eyes.
5. Sprint into a wall or mob to trigger the explosive smash ability.
6. Drink another Temp V Serum at any time to refresh the 5-minute timer.

Overview

The Homelander Mod adds a single powerful consumable — the Temp V Serum — that temporarily transforms you into a superhuman with the appearance and abilities of Homelander. For five minutes you gain massively enhanced combat and movement stats alongside three signature abilities: flight, a destructive smash charge, and laser eyes with x-ray vision. All powers vanish the moment Temp V expires.

How To Use

Drinking the Serum

Hold right-click with the Temp V Serum in hand to drink it. A message confirms the effect has kicked in: "You feel the Temp V surging through your veins… your skin shifts into Homelander!" Your player model immediately gains the Homelander suit overlay. Drinking a second serum while already active simply resets the 5-minute countdown — effects do not stack.

Active Visual Effects

While Temp V is active, your screen gains a blood-red corrupted vignette — a pulsing crimson wash and heavy border that signals your superhuman state.

Ability Keybinds

Attempting to use any ability without an active Temp V effect shows a HUD warning and nothing happens.

Abilities And Mechanics

Passive Stat Boosts

While Temp V is active you receive:

• Strength III — massively increased melee damage
• Resistance III — near-invulnerability to incoming damage
• Speed II — greatly increased movement speed
• Jump Boost III — powerful leaps
• Regeneration II — rapid health recovery

Flight

Double-jump to leave the ground and begin flying. You are fully invulnerable while actively flying. Double-jump again (or land) to exit flight.

Explosive Smash (Sprint Crash)

Sprint at high speed into a block or living entity. On impact, a powerful explosion clears a wide tunnel through blocks, deals crushing damage to nearby mobs, and sends debris particles flying. There is a short cooldown between smashes.

Laser Eyes

Press C to toggle twin laser beams from your eyes. The beams:

• Attack and damage any living targets they hit.
• Continuously burn through and destroy blocks, carving openings as you look around.
• Carve walls, ceilings, façades, and elevated building blocks freely.
• Will not destroy the floor at or below your standing level — the ground beneath you and nearby exposed floor blocks are protected, so you won't accidentally burn a hole under your feet.
• Carved openings are permanently removed server-side and remain empty and walkable.

Heart-Heat X-Ray Vision

Press = to toggle. Highlights living entities through walls so you can track targets even when they are hidden. Accompanied by an ambient heartbeat sound effect. Toggle it off with the same key.

Effect Expiry

All boosts, the Homelander appearance, and every active ability end automatically when Temp V's 5-minute duration runs out. Drink another serum before it expires to stay powered up.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Temp V Serum is unlocked in your recipe book as soon as you join a world.

The recipe requires Gold Ingots, a Diamond, Lapis Lazuli, a Potion (any water or standard potion), and an Ender Pearl arranged in a specific 3×3 pattern.

Progression And Strategy

• Early on, gather the crafting materials (gold, lapis, a diamond, an ender pearl, and any potion). The recipe is immediately available so there is no gating beyond resource collection.
• In combat, activate Temp V before engaging large groups or bosses. Pop flight immediately for invulnerability while repositioning, then land to unleash melee hits boosted by Strength III.
• Laser Eyes are excellent for breaking into structures or creating escape routes — point away from the floor and the ability handles the rest safely.
• Sprint-smashing into tight corridors of mobs is highly effective thanks to the wide tunnel clearance and crushing damage.
• Keep a spare serum in your hotbar. Drinking it refreshes the full 5 minutes, so proactive re-dosing is the key to maintaining your powers through long fights or exploration sessions.
