Gilded Soul Heart Totem

Quickstart

1. Obtain a Gilded Soul Heart Totem by crafting it or searching for it in the Creative inventory under the Combat category.
2. Place it anywhere in your inventory. It works from your main inventory, armor slots, or offhand; you do not need to hold it in your hand.
3. Once the totem is in your inventory, your maximum health increases by 30 health points, equal to 15 additional hearts.
4. Keep it in your inventory to retain the bonus. Dropping or losing the totem removes the extra health.

No right-click or other activation is required. The effect is passive.

Overview

The Gilded Soul Heart Totem is a single-item artifact that greatly increases your maximum health while it remains in your inventory. It has an enchanted glint and can be carried in any inventory slot.

Its tooltip displays:

• +30 Health (15 Hearts)
• Effect persists while the totem is in any inventory slot
• Health is removed when the totem is dropped

How To Use

Carrying the Totem

Put the totem in any available inventory slot. The health boost activates automatically when the game detects it in your inventory. When first acquired, it also restores up to 30 health points.

The totem does not need to be selected on the hotbar or held in either hand.

Losing the Totem

The bonus ends when the totem is no longer in your inventory. If your current health is higher than your new maximum health after losing it, your health is reduced to the new maximum rather than leaving you above the limit.

Keep the totem somewhere safe if you want to maintain the increased health.

The Gilded Soul Heart Totem has two shaped crafting recipes. Both recipes require a Totem of Undying and an Enchanted Golden Apple, along with soul energy-themed materials.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Health boost: Adds 30 points to maximum health, equivalent to 15 hearts.
• Inventory activation: The effect applies from any inventory slot, including the main inventory, armor slots, and offhand.
• Automatic activation: Picking up or otherwise placing the totem in your inventory activates the effect without a separate action.
• Automatic removal: Dropping or losing the item removes the bonus.
• Healing on acquisition: Acquiring the totem restores up to 30 health points when its boost activates.
• Piglin-loved: Piglins recognize the totem as a loved item.

Progression And Strategy

The totem requires rare materials, including a Totem of Undying, an Enchanted Golden Apple, Echo Shards, and Soul Sand. Because losing it removes your additional hearts, store it in a protected inventory slot and avoid dropping it before dangerous activities.

For routine exploration, keep it in a non-hotbar inventory slot so it remains active without occupying a hand. If you use the offhand or armor slots for other equipment, the main inventory also works.
