Description:
The Giant Sea Lizard is a massive aquatic predator that lurks in every ocean biome. Roughly ten times the size of an axolotl, it is an imposing and aggressive creature that attacks players and most other mobs on sight. Defeating one rewards significant experience and rare ocean-themed materials, making it a high-risk, high-reward encounter for any ocean explorer.
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Health | 100 HP (50 hearts) |
| Melee Bite Damage | 10 HP (5 hearts) |
| Detection Range | 40 blocks |
| Movement (land) | Slow |
| Movement (water) | Fast |
The Giant Sea Lizard pursues any non-lizard mob or player within 40 blocks and bites for 5 hearts of damage. It tracks targets persistently and re-selects if needed.
While submerged, the Giant Sea Lizard can unleash a devastating tailspin. This area attack hits everything within a 6-block radius for up to 3 hearts and simultaneously inflicts Slowness for 5 seconds on all nearby targets. The lizard is knocked back slightly by the spin, and the move goes on an 8-second cooldown after use.
The Giant Sea Lizard can move on land and in water, though it is noticeably faster underwater. It will actively seek out water if on land. It cannot be pushed by other mobs, making it difficult to reposition during a fight.
Defeating the Giant Sea Lizard rewards the following loot. The Looting enchantment increases most drop quantities.
| Drop | Amount | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Raw Sea Lizard Meat (Raw Cod) | 2–5 (+ Looting) | Always; automatically cooks if it dies while on fire |
| Reptilian Scales (Scute) | 1–4 (+ Looting) | Always |
| Heart of the Sea | 1 | Always |
| Sea Lizard Fang (Prismarine Shard) | 1–2 (+ Looting) | Player kill only; ~15% base chance |
| Nautilus Shell | 1 (+ Looting) | Player kill only; ~25% base chance |
| Experience | 200 XP | Player kill only |
The Raw Sea Lizard Meat and Reptilian Scales are represented by vanilla items (Raw Cod and Scute) as proxies for thematic drops.
Preparation: Bring strong armor and a weapon with Looting before hunting the Giant Sea Lizard. The 200 XP reward makes it a worthwhile target for experience farming. A bow or trident lets you deal damage from outside its melee and tailspin range.
Engagement: The tailspin only triggers underwater, so luring it onto land or fighting from a boat removes that threat entirely. If you must fight in water, keep your distance after each tailspin and wait out the 8-second cooldown before closing in.
Reward Priority: The guaranteed Heart of the Sea makes the Giant Sea Lizard a reliable source of this rare material, normally found only in buried treasure chests. Players who need multiple Hearts for Conduit crafting can hunt these lizards rather than searching for buried treasure.
Spawn Behavior: The Giant Sea Lizard spawns in groups of 1–2 in dim underwater conditions (light level 0–7) on Easy through Hard difficulty. No more than 2 can exist near the surface at once, so encounters are notable but not overwhelming.

Bob The Overpowered Trader is a stationary villager-like trader that offers absurdly cheap, never-depleting trades across five tiers that unlock as you gain XP, including powerful late-game items like a Fortune III, Mending diamond pickaxe at the highest tier. He wears ornate blue and burgundy robes with gold trim and an emerald brooch, and his spawn egg can be obtained by smelting a gold nugget in a furnace.

VILLAGES ALIVE - A mod series that brings you helpful villagers to make your build easier. Finally a villager that is useful! Meet Pickaxe Pete, the miner with one sole purpose... dig, dig, dig! As long as you are within the chunk he is, he will be mining and bringing you the mats you need for crafting, building, and decorating. Everything he mines will be placed in chests beside the house and as he gets one full, he will place another. Place the Creative-only Miner marker to clear a large squared work zone (ground level up to 20 blocks high) centered on the chosen house footprint and instantly spawn a Miner’s house facing the player's direction with foundation, walls, torches, a stocked chest, and a usable red bed; the addon also prebuilds eight identical 14×14 quarries arranged in a balanced square ring around the house with a continuous cobblestone compound path connecting the house to every mine. Five seconds after the house finishes building Pickaxe Pete appears with an indestructible diamond pickaxe and begins automated quarrying, depositing mined resources into the chests beside the house. Pete is invulnerable, works one mine at a time in a fixed clockwise order locked to the house rotation, stops each quarry at y = -58, and only seals immediate exposed openings or hazards so he behaves like a quarry worker rather than a cave explorer. Only after a mine is truly complete will he move on to the next one.

A villager with the appearance of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, featuring his iconic Assassin robes, hidden blade, and Renaissance Italian attire. Despite its menacing appearance, this mob behaves exactly like a regular villager, engaging in peaceful trading and village interactions.

VILLAGES ALIVE - A mod series that brings you helpful villagers to make your build easier. Finally a Beekeeper! Set the place block and watch as your Apiary is instantly built; 4 cherry trees, 8 beehives, pink petal ground cover, and lots of flowers. Two seconds later Nectar Ned shows up to tend to your bees. Ned will harvest and store the honey for you in chests located between the back two cherry trees. When the chest is full, Ned will place another and so on until the row between the cherry trees is full. Then Ned will patiently wait until you come make some room for him to continue harvesting again.

The Lavaxolotl is a hardy, fire-loving axolotl that swims comfortably in lava, has high health and is completely immune to damage, can be tamed with a bucket of cod and bred like normal axolotls, uses custom feeding and attack sounds, and unleashes a powerful fire attack that sets other mobs burning for 20 seconds. This update makes them far more common and easier to find: they now spawn reliably in rivers, shallow overworld water and lava pools in larger groups across biomes, and they move much faster on land so you’ll encounter them more often along shores.
