Description
Explore an ore-packed biome of diamond sheep, gold chickens, emerald cows, and Fortune 100 treasure. A satisfying biome where you can find everything (just don’t turn on the X-ray mode with colors, or you’ll go blind); it’s a simple yet satisfying mod—it includes ores down to the negative Y-levels, and ancient debris is present, though it’s EXTREMELY rare.
Mod Wiki
Fortune Orelands
Quickstart
- In survival, find the Fortune Orelands biome with
/locate biome fortune-orelands-xx6zs5ep:fortune_orelands, then travel there. In Creative, you can also spawn its animals from the Spawn Eggs tab. - Stay in the biome for a moment: a chest with two torches appears nearby, if there’s a suitable spot. Open it and take the Fortune 100 Pickaxe.
- Explore the ore-rich terrain and look for Diamond Sheep, Gold Chickens, and Emerald Cows. Killing them yields bonus gems and metals.
Overview
Fortune Orelands is an Overworld biome where ore is scattered through the terrain. Its special animals offer valuable drops, and each player can claim a one-time treasure chest on arrival.
What It Adds
- Fortune Orelands biome: Contains gold, emerald, lapis, coal, iron, copper, and redstone ores, with deepslate variants below. Ancient debris can also be found deep underground.
- Diamond Sheep: Blue sheep that drop 1–3 diamonds when killed.
- Gold Chicken: A golden chicken that drops 1–3 gold ingots when killed.
- Emerald Cow: A cow that drops one emerald block when killed.
- Fortune 100 Pickaxe: A diamond pickaxe found in the arrival chest.
How To Use
- Find the biome: Explore the Overworld or use
/locate biome fortune-orelands-xx6zs5ep:fortune_orelands. - Claim the chest: While you’re in the biome, the mod looks for a clear place to set a chest within 8 blocks of you. If it can’t find a spot, move to another area and wait. Each player can receive one chest.
- Spawn the animals in Creative: Use the Spawn Eggs tab, or give yourself an egg with a command such as
/give @s fortune-orelands-xx6zs5ep:diamond_sheep_spawn_egg. Use the egg on a block to spawn that animal. - Use the pickaxe: Take it from the chest and use it to mine. Its Fortune enchantment is level 100.
- Swim in the biome: Being in water there grants Haste V, which is refreshed while you remain in the water.
Abilities And Mechanics
The special animals drop their extra treasure when killed; shearing a Diamond Sheep does not trigger its diamond drop. The arrival chest contains a named Fortune 100 diamond pickaxe and is marked as claimed for that player once it has been placed.
