Exploding Ironfin Sheep

Quickstart

1. Obtain the Exploding Ironfin Sheep from the Creative inventory, or use: /give @s com_exploding_ironfin_sheep_e5hf5nwz:my_sword
2. Equip it in your hotbar.
3. Use the item to trigger its biome-destruction effect. A sound plays, then the area around you is cleared progressively.
4. Stay clear of the area you want to preserve. The effect removes blocks in a large square centered on your position, including underground and aboveground terrain.

You can also craft it at a crafting table:

Warning: Using the item is highly destructive and cannot restore the blocks it removes. Test it in a copy of your world first.

Overview

Exploding Ironfin Sheep is a destructive utility item disguised as a finned iron sheep. Its primary ability clears a large vertical region around the player, making it useful for rapid terraforming, clearing a build site, or creating an enormous crater-like empty area.

Despite its name, the mod provides a held item rather than a sheep mob to tame or breed.

How To Use

Triggering biome destruction

Hold the Exploding Ironfin Sheep and use it. The effect is centered on your current position and clears:

• 64 blocks in every horizontal direction
• From Y -64 through Y 319
• A square area approximately 129 × 129 blocks across
• Terrain, ores, structures, trees, and player-built blocks within that area

The clearing is processed over time rather than necessarily disappearing in one instant. A destruction sound plays when the effect begins.

The effect removes blocks by replacing them with air. It does not provide the removed blocks as drops, so collect anything valuable before activating it.

Placing TNT

The item can also place TNT when used on or targeting supported blocks, including:

• Air
• Stone
• Dirt
• Grass blocks
• Sand
• Gravel
• Netherrack
• End Stone

Use the item carefully near existing builds, since its normal use also starts the biome-destruction effect.

Using it as a weapon

The item is hand-equipped and deals 8 melee damage. It has 36 durability and can receive sword-compatible enchantments. Its durability can be consumed during use, so keep a replacement available for repeated experiments.

Craft the item at a crafting table with iron ingots, yellow concrete, black concrete, and TNT:

Abilities And Mechanics

Large-area clearing

Each activation queues a clearing area around the player who used the item. The area covers the full build-height range from -64 to 319, allowing it to remove:

• Deep underground terrain
• Surface terrain
• Mountains and trees
• Elevated constructions
• Nether and End terrain within the affected dimension

The effect uses the dimension where the item is activated. It does not automatically clear other dimensions.

Destructive use

The ability does not selectively preserve blocks. Valuable materials, farms, redstone, structures, and terrain are all removed if they fall inside the affected square.

The clearing affects blocks only. The item’s clearing behavior is not a mob summon and does not create an Ironfin Sheep entity.

Progression And Strategy

• Try the item in a newly created test world before using it in a survival world.
• Stand at the intended center of the cleared area so the 64-block radius is distributed evenly around you.
• Move valuable builds, storage, villagers, and farms well outside the affected square.
• Use coordinates to mark the area’s approximate boundaries before activation.
• Clear valuable ores and containers beforehand if you want to keep their contents.
• Because the item can place TNT as well as trigger its large-area effect, avoid using it casually near structures or other players.
• Keep spare Exploding Ironfin Sheep items for repeated clearing projects, since each item has limited durability.
