Bedrock Vein Spawner

Quickstart

1. Craft a Bedrock Vein Spawner at a crafting table using .
2. Place it with an empty block space directly above it.
3. Power it with redstone. The simplest setup is a lever attached to one of its four horizontal sides; switch the lever on.
4. After a short delay, the spawner creates a random stone or ore block directly above itself. Mine the block to receive its normal drops.
5. Keep the spawner powered and the space above it clear. A new block appears roughly every 2 seconds, and mining the current block causes it to be replaced.
6. To improve its drops, hold an enchanted book containing Fortune in your main hand and interact with the placed spawner.

For Nether or End materials, place a matching trigger block directly beneath the spawner before powering it.

Overview

The Bedrock Vein Spawner is a powered renewable-resource block. Each spawner produces one random block above itself and keeps producing replacements as long as:

• It is receiving redstone power.
• The space directly above it is empty.
• The spawner still exists.

The generated block remains in place until it is mined or moved. The spawner does not automatically collect the block or place items in an inventory.

What It Adds

The mod adds the Bedrock Vein Spawner, a full-block machine that generates different material pools based on the block directly beneath it.

Overworld pool

The default pool includes:

• Stone
• Cobblestone
• Coal ore
• Iron ore
• Copper ore
• Gold ore
• Redstone ore
• Lapis lazuli ore
• Diamond ore
• Emerald ore
• Deepslate
• Deepslate coal, iron, gold, redstone, lapis lazuli, diamond, emerald, and copper ores
• Amethyst block
• Budding amethyst
• Calcite
• Smooth basalt

Stone is weighted to appear more often than most other entries.

Nether pool

The Nether pool is selected when the block beneath the spawner is one of the following:

• Netherrack
• Nether bricks
• Quartz ore
• Ancient debris
• Basalt
• Blackstone
• Gilded blackstone
• Soul sand
• Soul soil
• Magma
• Crimson nylium
• Warped nylium

It can generate:

• Netherrack
• Nether bricks
• Quartz ore
• Gold ore
• Ancient debris
• Basalt
• Blackstone
• Gilded blackstone
• Soul sand
• Magma

Netherrack is weighted to appear more often.

End pool

The End pool is selected when the block beneath the spawner is one of the following:

• End stone
• Purpur
• End stone brick slab
• Obsidian

It can generate:

• End stone
• Purpur
• Obsidian
• End stone brick slab

End stone is weighted to appear more often.

How To Use

Powering the spawner

Apply redstone power to the spawner. A switched-on lever placed against any horizontal side is the most reliable setup.

When power is removed:

• Generation stops.
• The existing block above the spawner remains in place.
• The spawner starts again when power is restored, provided the space above it is empty.

A button can provide temporary power, but a lever is better for continuous production.

Collecting generated blocks

Mine the block directly above the spawner with the appropriate tool. If the spawner is still powered, it replaces the block after a short delay.

If the block above is occupied by another block, the spawner waits instead of replacing it. Remove the obstruction to resume production.

Selecting a material pool

The pool is determined by the block directly beneath the spawner, not simply by the dimension where it is placed. This lets you create Nether or End-style output in any dimension by using a suitable base block.

If the block beneath the spawner is not a Nether or End trigger, the spawner uses the Overworld pool.

Using multiple spawners

Each spawner generates only into the block space immediately above itself. For multiple machines, give every spawner its own clear output space and power source.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the spawner in a crafting table with eight obsidian surrounding one diamond block.

The spawner is also available in the Creative inventory under the Construction category.

For command-based obtaining:

Breaking a placed spawner returns one Bedrock Vein Spawner.

Abilities And Mechanics

Fortune upgrades

Hold an enchanted book with Fortune in your main hand and interact with the spawner.

• The book is not consumed.
• The spawner accepts an upgrade only when the held book has a higher total Fortune level than its current level.
• Fortune levels from recognized Fortune enchantments on the book can be combined.
• The stored level can reach Fortune 64.
• Fortune affects the drops from generated blocks, not the generation speed or material pool.
• The upgrade belongs to that placed spawner.

When you mine a generated block, the spawner provides its normal mining drop and adds extra copies of the generated block item based on its stored Fortune level.

Moving generated blocks

If a generated block is moved by a piston, it is converted into dropped items rather than becoming a free movable ore block. The stored Fortune level increases the number of items dropped in this situation.

Mining the spawner

The spawner is highly resistant to explosions. When mined by a player, it drops itself so it can be placed again elsewhere.

Breaking the spawner removes its stored Fortune upgrade. A new spawner must be upgraded again after placement.

Progression And Strategy

• Start with the default Overworld pool to obtain renewable stone, ores, deepslate ores, and amethyst materials.
• Use a Nether trigger block beneath a spawner when you need netherrack, quartz ore, blackstone, ancient debris, or other Nether materials.
• Use an End trigger block beneath a spawner for renewable end stone, purpur, obsidian, and end stone brick slabs.
• Place the output space over a collection area so mined blocks and drops are easy to gather.
• Upgrade spawners with increasingly powerful Fortune books to improve the yield from each generated block.
• Keep the spawner powered continuously for the best production rate, and avoid filling the output space before the next generation cycle.
