Exact Drop Control

Quickstart

1. Press J at any time while playing to open the Exact Drop Control menu.
2. In the menu, type a number into the Destroyed Item Drop Count field to control how many items blocks drop when you break them.
3. Type a number into the Killed Mob Item Drop Count field to control how many items mobs drop when you kill them.
4. Click Apply to save your settings and close the menu.
5. Go break a block or kill a mob to see your custom drop amount in action.

Overview

Exact Drop Control lets you take precise control over how many items blocks and mobs drop, instead of relying on vanilla loot tables and randomness. With a quick keybind, you can open a simple settings menu at any time and dial in exact drop counts for both mining and combat.

What It Adds

• A keybinding (default J) that opens the Exact Drop Control settings menu.
• A lightweight in-game screen with two number fields:
  • Destroyed Item Drop Count – how many items a block drops when broken.
  • Killed Mob Item Drop Count – how many items a mob drops when killed.
• An Apply button to save and activate your chosen settings immediately.

Your settings are personal — they apply to your own actions (blocks you break, mobs you kill) and persist while you're connected, even after the menu is closed.

How To Use

• Press J to bring up the menu (it won't open if another screen is already active).
• Enter a whole number in either field:
  • Leave a field blank or enter 0 to use normal vanilla drop behavior for that category.
  • Enter a positive number to force that many items to drop instead.
  • Values are limited to a maximum of 2304 and must be numeric; invalid entries are ignored and treated as vanilla (0).
• Click Apply to send your settings into effect. The menu closes automatically.
• Once applied, breaking blocks will drop your chosen quantity of the block's normal drop item instead of the usual random amount.
• Killing mobs will drop your chosen quantity of one item from their loot table instead of their usual drops, and mobs will no longer drop their equipped gear.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Block drops: When your block drop count is set above 0, breaking a block skips its normal loot roll and instead drops a single stack of its first eligible drop item, sized to your chosen count.
• Mob drops: When your mob drop count is set above 0, killing a mob drops a single stack of one item from its loot table, sized to your chosen count, and suppresses any equipped item drops (like armor or held weapons) from that kill.
• Vanilla fallback: Setting a count to 0 (or leaving it blank) restores normal, unmodified vanilla drop behavior for that category.
• Settings are tracked per player, so different players on the same world can have their own independent drop counts.

Progression And Strategy

Use Exact Drop Control to streamline resource gathering or farming setups by guaranteeing predictable, consistent drop amounts instead of random loot rolls. This is especially useful for testing builds, setting up controlled resource economies, or simply skipping the randomness of vanilla mining and combat drops. Adjust your settings anytime with the J-key menu as your needs change — for example, turning off custom drops (setting values to 0) when you want standard vanilla behavior again.
