Ender Impact Scythe

Quickstart

1. Gather a Dragon Egg, three Ender Eyes, a Netherite Sword, and two Netherite Ingots.
2. Craft the Ender Impact Scythe at a crafting table:

1. Equip it in your main hand.
2. Use it as a normal melee weapon, or jump from a ledge and hit an enemy while descending to trigger its impact smash.
3. For instant testing in Creative mode, use:

/give @s com_ender_impact_scythe_vctimyw3:my_sword

Overview

The Ender Impact Scythe is a powerful melee weapon combining sword-like attacks with a close-range mace smash. Normal attacks deal heavy damage, while falling attacks create an impact around you that damages and knocks back nearby living entities.

How To Use

Normal Attacks

Hold the scythe in your main hand and attack normally. Its standard melee hit deals 9 damage.

Impact Smash

To trigger the smash:

1. Hold the scythe in your main hand.
2. Jump, drop from a height, or otherwise become airborne.
3. Fall at least 1.5 blocks.
4. Hit a living entity while still descending.

The smash activates on a successful hit and affects the area around you. It does not replace the normal attack; the target you hit receives the regular weapon hit as well as the smash effect.

The smash:

• Hits living entities within a 3.5-block horizontal radius.
• Deals more damage after longer falls.
• Deals up to 25 smash damage before distance-based reduction.
• Deals less damage to targets farther from the impact center, with a minimum of 1 smash damage.
• Knocks nearby targets away from the impact.
• Gives the wielder an upward knockback boost.

The smash is centered on the player, so enemies near you can be hit even if they are not the target of your initial attack.

Craft the scythe at a crafting table using the displayed recipe:

Abilities And Mechanics

Falling Damage Scaling

The smash starts with 7 damage and gains 2 damage for each block of tracked fall distance, rounded down. Its base damage is capped at 25. Targets farther from you lose additional damage based on their horizontal distance, but every affected living entity takes at least 1 smash damage.

Area Knockback

Each affected target is pushed away from the player and lifted slightly. The scythe wielder is also pushed upward, allowing the attack to chain into aerial combat or another fall.

Durability

The scythe has 500 durability. Its durability damage chance ranges from 50% to 100% when durability damage is applied.

Progression And Strategy

• Use the scythe as a strong everyday weapon before attempting smash attacks.
• Fight groups of enemies by striking one target while falling so the surrounding enemies are caught in the impact.
• Drop onto the center of a group for the best area coverage.
• Longer falls increase smash damage, but keep enough control to land the hit before touching the ground.
• Targets close to you receive more damage than targets at the edge of the smash radius.
• Enchant the scythe using sword-compatible enchantments to improve its general combat performance.
