Cataclysm Wands
Quickstart
- Craft any wand using its recipe below — most just need a special item on top of two sticks.
- Hold a wand and right-click (use item) to trigger its effect. Some wands act on yourself, some on whatever you're looking at, and some affect the world around you.
- Try the Fire Wand or Explosion Wand first for instant, obvious feedback, then experiment with the Ego Wand (grow into a giant) or Orbital Strike Wand (call down a blazing beam from the sky).
- Wands are reusable tools — no durability consumed on use — so keep a full set in your hotbar or an easy-access chest to try them all.
Overview
Cataclysm Wands adds a large collection of stick-based magic wands, each one bound to a single dramatic effect: elemental damage, weather control, mob spawning, size manipulation, terraforming, and more. Every wand is a simple craftable item that performs its trick the moment you use it — no charging, mana, or cooldown system to learn. This is a sandbox of "point and click" chaos tools built for creative experimentation, world-building stunts, and combat gimmicks.
What It Adds
Elemental wands — classic elemental attacks:
- Fire Wand, Water Wand, Ice Wand, Void Cataclysm Wand
Summoning wands — spawn creatures or structures:
- Undead Wand, Any Spawn Wand, Giantspawn Wand, Village Wand, UFO Abduction Wand, Farm Wand (chicken cannon)
Destruction and force wands:
- Explosion Wand, Orbital Strike Wand, Force Wand, Yeet Wand, Grav Wand, Grav Block Wand, Bedrock Wand
Size and transformation wands:
- Enlarge/Reduce Wand, Baby Wand, Ego Wand, Cutify Wand
Weather and sky wands:
- Snow Wand, Rain Wand, Localized Storm Wand, Sun Wand, Moon Wand
Utility and support wands:
- Healing Wand, Fertility Wand, Randomization Wand, How Do I Use This Wand
All wands are tagged as both weapons and magic weapons, so they can be used in melee slots and interact properly with combat-related game systems.
How To Use
- Hold and use any wand (right-click / use-item action) to fire its effect. Depending on the wand, this can:
- Launch a projectile or beam (Fire, Water, Ice, Void, Orbital Strike, Yeet).
- Target whatever mob or block you're looking at (Undead, Any Spawn, Enlarge/Reduce, Baby, Cutify, Healing, Fertility, Grav Block).
- Change the environment around you (Snow, Rain, Localized Storm, Sun, Moon, Bedrock, Village).
- Affect yourself directly (Ego Wand grows you into a giant; the Grav Wand and Force Wand push and pull entities including the player).
- Orbital Strike Wand summons a tall, wide beam of light from high in the sky down onto the target area — great for dramatic area attacks or lighting up a build.
- Ego Wand scales you up into a giant. While enlarged, you get a taller step height so you can climb obstacles like a horse, and movement feels smooth instead of getting stuck on terrain.
- Enlarged mobs (from the Enlarge/Reduce Wand) receive automatic stabilization: if a giant-sized mob gets stuck spinning in place instead of turning naturally, the game will straighten out its facing so it keeps behaving properly.
- Giantspawn Wand creates a large, aggressive giant zombie-type creature capable of wandering long distances, chasing players, breaking through obstacles like doors, fences, and torches, and even seeking out and demolishing villages it finds.
- Wands can be used repeatedly — there's no ammo or charge system, so keep experimenting.
Crafting And Obtaining
All wands are crafted at a crafting table. Most follow the same simple pattern — a special material on top, with two sticks forming the handle below it.

Abilities And Mechanics
- Giant scaling: Any effect that scales an entity up (Ego Wand on yourself, Enlarge/Reduce Wand on mobs) comes with movement fixes so giants climb blocks smoothly and don't get visually stuck rotating in place while standing still.
- Beams and orbital effects: The Orbital Strike Wand spawns a tall glowing beam column that lingers briefly before fading — useful as a marker, an attack, or a spectacle.
- Giant creature AI: Giants summoned via the Giantspawn Wand actively wander, hunt down players from very long range, smash through common obstacles (doors, fences, gates, torches, lanterns, trapdoors), and will travel toward and tear apart villages if left unchecked — expect chaos if you leave one loose.
- Cured Enderman variant: A special zombie-like creature that behaves passively — it doesn't attack players and periodically breaks nearby blocks on its own as it wanders.
Progression And Strategy
There's no tiered progression — every wand is available as soon as you gather its (mostly simple) ingredients. Strategy comes from picking the right wand for the moment:
- Use Healing Wand and Fertility Wand for supportive, non-destructive play.
- Use Explosion Wand, Orbital Strike Wand, or Yeet Wand for combat or terrain clearing.
- Use Giantspawn Wand and Village Wand cautiously — both can trigger large-scale, hard-to-control chain reactions (village demolition, wandering giants).
- Combine Ego Wand (grow yourself) with Enlarge/Reduce Wand (grow or shrink mobs) for building elaborate giant-versus-giant showdowns or tiny-mob farms.
- Keep a "How Do I Use This Wand" on hand if you forget how the system works — it's a craftable in-game reminder item.
