Eclipse Nunchucks

Quickstart

1. In Survival, craft an Eclipse Core at a crafting table, then use it to craft the Eclipse Nunchucks. In Creative, take the nunchucks from the Equipment tab.
2. Equip the Eclipse Nunchucks in your main hand.
3. Try these controls:
   • Right-click normally: Use Eclipse Pulse.
   • Sneak + right-click: Activate Umbral Reaping.
   • Jump + right-click while not sneaking: Activate Moonrise Guard.
4. Hit enemies repeatedly to build a four-hit combo. Keep attacking within 2.5 seconds between hits to maintain it.
5. Watch the action bar for your combo count, ability timers, and cooldowns.

Overview

Eclipse Nunchucks are a powerful epic melee weapon with area abilities, combo bonuses, and enhanced attacks at night.

• Base melee damage: 7
• Maximum durability: 300
• Maximum combo: 4 hits
• Can receive sword enchantments
• Stack size: 1

All nearby-area abilities can affect both players and mobs.

What It Adds

Eclipse Core

The Eclipse Core is the rare crafting component used to make the nunchucks. It is an epic, glowing item and does not stack.

Only one Eclipse Core can be claimed in a world. In multiplayer, plan carefully who will obtain it first.

Eclipse Nunchucks

The nunchucks combine melee combat with three active abilities:

• Umbral Reaping — a close-range damaging attack
• Moonrise Guard — a defensive support ability
• Eclipse Pulse — a radial shockwave available from a normal use

How To Use

Basic Attacks And Combos

Each successful hit with the nunchucks:

• Deals 7 base damage
• Uses 1 durability
• Advances your combo by one hit
• Shows your combo progress on the action bar

The combo resets if you go more than 2.5 seconds without landing a hit.

• At hit 2, gain Speed I for 5 seconds.
• At hit 4, gain Strength I for 5 seconds.
• Reaching hit 4 displays a Spin Ready indicator and resets the combo when Umbral Reaping is activated.

During nighttime or an active eclipse event, every successful hit deals 3 additional damage and creates soul particles around the target.

Eclipse Pulse

Use the nunchucks normally without sneaking or jumping to trigger Eclipse Pulse.

• Strikes living targets within 5 blocks
• Deals 7 damage to each target
• Applies Weakness I for 3 seconds
• Applies a small outward knockback
• Has an 8-second cooldown
• Uses 7 durability

Eclipse Pulse also attempts to activate when you use either named ability. If Pulse is on cooldown, the named ability still works normally.

Umbral Reaping

Sneak and right-click to activate Umbral Reaping.

• Hits living targets within 4 blocks
• Deals 12 damage
• Applies Slowness I for 5 seconds
• Marks targets as Eclipsed for 5 seconds
• Reduces healing received by Eclipsed targets by 25%
• Applies a small outward knockback
• Has a 12-second cooldown
• Uses 10 durability
• Resets your combo

Moonrise Guard

Jump and right-click while you are not sneaking to activate Moonrise Guard.

For 8 seconds, you gain:

• Regeneration II
• Resistance II
• Jump Boost II

Moonrise Guard has a 20-second cooldown and uses 6 durability.

Eclipse Core

Craft the unique Eclipse Core at a crafting table using echo shards, amethyst shards, and a nether star.

Eclipse Nunchucks

Craft the Eclipse Nunchucks at a crafting table using nether stars, netherite ingots, diamond blocks, and the Eclipse Core.

The Eclipse Core must be claimed before it can be used in this recipe. Once the world’s single core has been claimed, additional cores cannot be claimed.

Abilities And Mechanics

Durability

The nunchucks lose durability when used:

The weapon breaks when its durability is exhausted. Repair it with iron ingots or obsidian; each repair restores 20% of its maximum durability.

Cooldown Tracking

While the nunchucks are equipped, the action bar displays:

• Current combo count
• Whether the four-hit combo is ready
• Umbral Reaping duration or cooldown
• Moonrise Guard duration or cooldown
• Eclipse Pulse cooldown or ready status

Progression And Strategy

• Use ordinary attacks to build the combo before entering a difficult fight.
• Keep enemies close when using Umbral Reaping so the entire group is caught within its 4-block range.
• Use Eclipse Pulse against larger groups, especially when Weakness and knockback will help control them.
• Save Moonrise Guard for dangerous encounters or moments when you need healing, damage resistance, and extra jumping ability.
• Fight at night to gain the nunchucks’ additional 3 damage on every successful hit.
• Track durability carefully before using abilities repeatedly; Umbral Reaping is especially expensive.
