Quickstart

1. Craft the Deathlight sword using netherite ingots, ender eyes, obsidian, and a stick (recipe below).
2. Equip it in your mainhand.
3. Swing at any enemy — it dies in one hit, no matter how tough.
4. Right-click (or use the item) while exploring to scan the ground beneath you for hidden structures.
5. Just hold the sword to move faster and see in the dark automatically.

Overview

Deathlight is a legendary shadow-forged sword built for players who want to dominate the world with a single weapon. It never breaks, kills almost anything in one strike, buffs your movement and vision while equipped, heals you when you land hits, and can even sniff out hidden structures buried underground.

Crafting And Obtaining

Deathlight is crafted at a crafting table using rare, high-tier materials:

The recipe requires netherite ingots, ender eyes, obsidian, and a stick, so you'll need to be well into the late game (with Nether and End access) before you can make one.

Abilities And Mechanics

Once crafted, Deathlight behaves like a normal sword in your hand but comes packed with special powers:

• One-Hit Kill — Any strike from Deathlight deals catastrophic damage, instantly defeating whatever it hits, including powerful bosses like the Ender Dragon.
• Unbreakable — The blade has an enormous durability pool and will not break through normal use.
• Lifesteal — Damage you deal with Deathlight is returned to you as health, keeping you topped up in extended fights.
• Speed Boost — Simply holding Deathlight in your mainhand grants a large movement speed increase, letting you traverse the world quickly.
• Night Vision — While holding the sword, you automatically see clearly in the dark, no potions needed.
• Structure Sense — Right-click (use the item) to scan the ground below you. If a stronghold, trial chamber, or ancient city is detected nearby underground, a beacon block will appear on the surface directly above it, marking the location for you to dig toward.
• Enchantable — Deathlight can still be enchanted like a normal sword, and it glints with a magical shimmer.

Progression And Strategy

Because of its expensive recipe, Deathlight is meant to be an end-game reward rather than an early tool. Once obtained, it effectively removes combat and exploration difficulty: you can move fast, see in the dark, one-shot any threat, and heal automatically from your own attacks. Use the structure-sense ability to quickly locate strongholds, trial chambers, and ancient cities without needing maps or lengthy digging — just walk around with the sword out and periodically use it to scan the ground beneath you.
