Quickstart

1. Gather Netherite Ingots, a Blaze Rod, and an Eye of Ender.
2. Craft the Crimson Beam Goggles Helmet at a crafting table (recipe below).
3. Equip the helmet in your head armour slot.
4. Aim at a target and press Use Item (right-click / tap / use button) to fire a red laser beam.

Overview

Crimson Beam Goggles is a single-item mod that adds a powerful netherite-tier helmet with a built-in laser-eye ability. Wearing the goggles makes your eyes glow bright red and lets you unleash a focused crimson beam that can burn enemies, destroy blocks, and set the world on fire — all in one shot.

What It Adds

The helmet has 500 durability, provides 4 armour points (equivalent to an iron helmet), absorbs all damage types, and carries an enchant-level value of 12. It can be repaired with Netherite Ingots at an anvil. It also has an enchantment glint, reflecting its epic rarity.

How To Use

Equipping

Place the Crimson Beam Goggles Helmet in your head slot just like any other helmet. Once worn, your eyes will visibly glow red.

Firing the Laser

While wearing the goggles, press Use Item (right-click on Java-style controls, tap the use button on touch, or the platform use button on controller) to fire the laser.

• The beam travels up to 200 blocks in the direction you are looking.
• A distinct firing sound plays on each shot.
• A 2-second cooldown (40 ticks) applies between shots. If you fire too early, the message "Laser recharging…" appears on your screen.

Abilities And Mechanics

Damage

Each entity the beam passes through takes 8 points of damage (4 hearts) and receives a knockback push in the direction the beam is travelling. Each entity is only hit once per shot, even if the beam lingers near it.

Block Destruction

The beam slices through solid blocks in its path, destroying them as it goes. This lets it punch through walls and terrain to reach targets behind cover.

Fire Ignition

The laser is intensely hot:

• Exposed surfaces near the beam's path are set on fire as it travels.
• When a solid block is destroyed by the beam, fire is placed in adjacent air spaces around the destroyed block where possible.

This makes the goggles especially dangerous in wooden or flammable environments — aim carefully.

Crafting And Obtaining

The helmet is crafted at a crafting table once you have collected Netherite Ingots, a Blaze Rod, and an Eye of Ender. The recipe unlocks automatically when those materials are in your inventory.

It can be repaired at an anvil using Netherite Ingots, and it supports all standard helmet enchantments.

Progression And Strategy

• Mid-to-late game item: Netherite Ingots and the Eye of Ender make this a post-Nether, near-End-game crafting goal.
• Combat tool: The 8-damage hit and knockback make each shot meaningful. Use it to pick off mobs at range or to stagger a charging enemy.
• Tunnelling: The beam's block-breaking capability can clear a line of sight through stone or other solids instantly, useful in tight cave fights.
• Fire hazard: The ignition effects are powerful but double-edged. Avoid firing near your base or in areas you want to preserve. The fire spreads naturally after the beam passes.
• Cooldown management: With a 2-second cooldown, time your shots carefully. The laser is a burst tool, not a sustained weapon — use melee or other tactics between shots.
