Quickstart

1. Craft two Crimson Beam Goggles at a crafting table (see recipe below).
2. Equip one in your helmet slot — your vision gains a crimson glow and you receive 6 armor points.
3. Hold the second pair in your hand.
4. Press Use Item to fire a powerful red laser burst at whatever you're looking at.
5. Press Use Item again to switch into continuous blue beam mode for 30 seconds of sustained destruction.
6. To try the molten soul beam, sneak while holding the goggles and hold Use Item or the Attack/Mine button.

Crimson Beam Goggles are a rare helmet that doubles as a devastating energy weapon. Wearing a pair protects you like quality armor, but the real power comes from holding a second pair in your hand. With it, you can unleash three distinct beam modes — a quick red burst, a prolonged blue annihilation beam, and a ground-melting molten soul beam — each suited to different combat and terrain situations.

How To Use

You need two pairs of Crimson Beam Goggles: one worn as your helmet, one held in your hand. The helmet provides the armor and visual effect; the held pair is the trigger for all beam abilities.

Abilities And Mechanics

🔴 Red Laser (Default Mode)

• Fires a fast, wide red energy burst on Use Item.
• Deals 28 damage on hit.
• Knocks back enemies struck by the beam.
• Carves a 3×3 tunnel through terrain it passes through.
• Ignites surfaces on impact, leaving fire and burning particles behind.
• Produces rich particle debris — flames, lava sparks, and large explosions.
• Has a 1.5-second cooldown between shots.
• Range: up to 200 blocks.

🔵 Blue Beam Mode

• Activated by pressing Use Item a second time after the red laser fires.
• Runs as a continuous beam for 30 seconds.
• Fires much more frequently than the red laser (near-continuous pulses).
• Deals 12 damage per tick to targets in its path.
• Reliably tracks and hits targets.
• Carves a wide 5×5 destruction path through blocks.
• Visualised with blue flame and sonic-explosion particles.

🌋 Molten Soul Beam (Sneak Mode)

• Activated by sneaking while holding the goggles, then holding Use Item or Attack/Mine.
• Fires a tight, continuous crimson stream with dramatic visuals: a dense lava and smoke core, side flame trails, and powerful rolling explosion pulses.
• Deals 10 damage per tick.
• Reaches up to 50 blocks.
• On impact, replaces replaceable blocks (such as grass, sand, and magma) within a 5-block radius of the hit point, transmuting terrain into molten forms.
• The beam refreshes its duration while it continues to hit targets or terrain.
• Provides action-bar feedback while active so you know the beam is firing.
• Protected blocks are left intact — the beam only affects replaceable blocks.
• Emits a unique wailing sound while active.

Progression And Strategy

• Craft two pairs early — one to wear, one to wield. Without the helmet equipped, the beams do not activate.
• The red laser is best for quick, aggressive combat: the knockback and wide bore make it great for pushing enemies away and clearing paths.
• Switch to blue beam mode for prolonged fights against tough mobs or when you need to cut a large tunnel fast — its 5×5 path is unmatched for rapid excavation.
• The molten soul beam is ideal for large-scale terrain reshaping and area denial. Use it in the Nether to convert landscapes or soften terrain before building.
• Enchant your goggles in the helmet slot (enchantability 12) for added durability or protection synergies.
• Keep Netherite Ingots on hand — at 407 durability, heavy beam use will wear the goggles down quickly.
