Description:
Coalspike Barrens adds a single, hostile new Overworld biome made entirely of bare stone. The surface is stripped of all soil, grass, and vegetation, replaced by solid stone that continues deep underground. Towering cobblestone and stone spikes — some reaching nearly 30 blocks into the air — erupt from the ground alongside dramatic open pits. It is one of the richest coal biomes in the Overworld, but its unforgiving terrain demands preparation.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Coalspike Barrens biome | A barren stone Overworld biome with no vegetation or passive mobs |
| Stone spikes | Jagged multi-block pillars and towers of stone/cobblestone rising from the surface |
| Open pits | Dramatic holes that plunge into the subsurface |
| Abundant coal ore | Large coal and deepslate coal veins throughout the biome |
| Copper ore | Vanilla-rate copper veins underground |
| Bonus ore blocks | Rare Block of Coal and Raw Copper Block spawns in place of normal ore |
The biome's defining visual feature is its spike formations. There are two main sizes:
Every spike column is anchored to the nearest solid ground below it, so spikes remain visually connected even across slopes and over pits. Single-block pillars do not appear. Pits occur occasionally and may be surrounded by both large and small spikes of their own.
The surface and near-subsurface consist of solid stone, providing a generous host for ore generation:
When any coal ore or copper ore placement is generated, there is roughly a 1-in-125 (~0.8%) chance that the ore is replaced by its bulk block form instead:
| Normal ore | Rare bonus replacement |
|---|---|
| Coal Ore / Deepslate Coal Ore | Block of Coal |
| Copper Ore / Deepslate Copper Ore | Raw Copper Block |
These bonus blocks appear embedded directly in the terrain and can be mined like any other block. A Block of Coal yields 9 coal when crafted back in a crafting table; a Raw Copper Block yields 9 raw copper.
The Coalspike Barrens spawns no passive animals, no crops, no grass, and no trees. Players cannot forage or farm on-site. Hostile mobs still spawn at night on the stone surface and inside the pits.

The E-Bola Cell is a plankton-green, bee-like flying monster that glides low to the ground (staying within about 8 blocks) and spawns in small groups across every biome. It is hostile and chases players—touching one deals half a heart of damage with a 9-second cooldown, infects you with a brief disorienting, sleep-like effect, permanently cuts your maximum health to half a heart, and applies a

create a minecraft item that has the following description: 'Create a claw sword that has 3 metal claws attacked to a handle. the sword should have a very fast attack speed and do 7 hearts of damage per attack. The claws should also have an ability to let the player jump forward a great distance when used, this ability should have a 20 second cooldown. The claws should also give the player passive regeneration when in the main hand.'

Meet the Starlight Jellybean Chicken, a magical creature that looks like a wobbly pastel jellybean with a glossy sugar shell, tiny licorice legs, a bubblegum beak, and glowing candy pearl eyes. This enchanting chicken glides silently through the night sky, laying shimmering star eggs under the moonlight and granting nearby players the ability to fall slowly. When phantoms threaten the area, it summons a protective ring of starlight to repel them, and when defeated, it drops various magical resources like sugar, glowstone dust, and golden carrots.

The Storm King adds a one-time giant floating boss that spawns near the first player two minutes after they join a world, shows a boss bar, and records that it has appeared so it only spawns once per world. In combat the Storm King strikes with lightning and summons hostile Thunder Wolves, and at 50% health it becomes enraged—changing its boss bar color, attacking faster, summoning more wolves, and dealing stronger lightning damage. Defeating it drops the Crown of Tempests, which lets the wearer fly while it is raining (flight is revoked when the rain stops or the crown is no longer carried), and the mod includes custom visuals and renderers for the Storm King, Thunder Wolves, and the crown.
