Cindertip Blade

Quickstart

1. Craft the Cindertip Blade using obsidian, a blaze rod, and sticks (recipe below), or find it in the Combat creative tab.
2. Equip it and hit any enemy — they'll ignite immediately for 5 seconds of burn damage.
3. Right-click to launch a flame projectile that deals 6 fire damage and sets the target ablaze for 5 seconds. Wait 1 second between shots.

Overview

The Cindertip Blade is a fire-infused sword that combines hard-hitting melee combat with a ranged flame attack. Every swing sets enemies on fire, and a quick right-click lets you pepper targets with fireballs before closing in — or finish off fleeing enemies from a distance.

Abilities And Mechanics

Melee — Igniting Strike

Every time you hit an enemy with the blade, they are set on fire for 5 seconds in addition to taking normal sword damage.

Ranged — Flame Projectile (Right-Click)

Right-clicking fires a visible flame projectile that travels forward with very slight gravity.

The projectile dissipates on hitting a block or entity.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is unlocked automatically when you join a world. Craft it with obsidian, a blaze rod, and sticks as shown:

Progression And Strategy

• Durability: 500 points — more durable than an iron sword, but ranged shots chip away at it (1 durability per shot), so use the projectile selectively.
• Combo play: Open with a right-click flame projectile to ignite the target, then follow up with melee swings. The burn damage stacks with your hits for rapid pressure.
• Kiting: Against dangerous enemies, keep your distance and cycle right-click shots on the 1-second cooldown to deal fire damage without taking hits.
• Fire immunity: The blade's fire effects do nothing against fire-resistant or fire-immune mobs (like Blazes or Wither Skeletons), so keep a backup weapon for the Nether.
