Wither Command Egg

Quickstart

1. Obtain a Wither Command Egg from the Spawn Eggs tab in Creative mode, or craft one using the recipe below.
2. Hold the egg and use it on the side of a block.
3. A Wither spawns in the space directly next to the clicked face.
4. Move away quickly—the Wither is hostile and destructive.

In Creative mode, the egg is not consumed. In Survival mode, one egg is consumed whenever the Wither spawns successfully.

Overview

The Wither Command Egg is a stackable spawn item that summons a Wither when used on a block. It provides a fast way to place a Wither exactly where you want one, without building the usual Wither structure.

How To Use

Hold the Wither Command Egg and use it on a block:

• The Wither appears next to the side of the block you clicked.
• Click the top of a block to place it above that block.
• Click a side to place it beside that side.
• Click the underside to place it below the block, if there is enough space.
• The egg is consumed only after a successful spawn in Survival mode.
• Creative-mode players can use the egg repeatedly without reducing their stack.

The item does not require a command to activate. Its main interaction is using it directly on a block.

Crafting And Obtaining

The crafting recipe uses:

• 4 Wither Skeleton Skulls
• 1 Soul Sand
• 2 Eggs
• 1 Command Block
• 1 Nether Star

The recipe becomes available in the recipe book after entering a world. In Creative mode, you can also take the egg from the Spawn Eggs tab.

For command-based testing or custom maps, use:

/give @s wither-command-egg-ixwc33na:wither_command_egg_ixwc33na

Abilities And Mechanics

• Using the egg on a block summons a standard Wither.
• The spawn position is based on the block face you target.
• A failed spawn does not consume the egg.
• The item can be stacked to 64.
• Withers created by the egg behave like normal Withers after spawning.

Progression And Strategy

The recipe requires a Nether Star and Wither Skeleton Skulls, so the egg is best treated as a late-game tool or a Creative-mode testing item.

Before using it, prepare a large open area far from structures, villages, farms, and valuable builds. Keep several eggs available when testing different spawn locations, and leave enough room for the Wither to move and attack immediately after it appears.
