Cherry Blossom Village
Quickstart
- Load a new world and explore until you find the Cherry Blossom Forest biome — it appears in warm, humid overworld regions and is recognisable by its dense pink cherry trees, blossom-covered ground, and drifting petals.
- Look for a cherry village nestled among the trees. It will have cobblestone foundations, cherry plank and log houses, stair roofs, lantern-topped fence posts, a well, and a bell in the central plaza.
- Head toward any large open area within the biome to discover a giant cherry lake — a wide body of water with sandy, muddy, and clay shores edged with lily pads.
- Watch the lake shores for Pink Frogs hopping around the water's edge, and listen for salmon and tropical fish swimming below.
- Wander the biome to spot the rare Cherry Cow, a pink flower-adorned cow that only spawns here. In Creative mode, use the Cherry Cow Spawn Egg or Pink Frog Spawn Egg from the Spawn Eggs tab to summon either mob anywhere.
Overview
Cherry Blossom Village transforms the overworld with a lush, atmospheric biome full of hand-crafted details: towering cherry trees raining petals, unique surface blocks, ambient music, giant lakes teeming with life, and fully formed cherry-wood villages complete with working villagers. Two exclusive mobs — the Cherry Cow and the Pink Frog — round out the experience.

How To Use
Finding the Biome
The Cherry Blossom Forest generates in warm, humid continental areas. It can take some walking to locate in a fresh world, but once found it is hard to miss — the ground turns pink and cherry trees cluster densely together.
Exploring the Cherry Lake
Giant lakes generate deterministically based on the world seed, meaning the same seed always produces a lake in the same place. Look for a large expanse of water within the biome. Features include:
- Sandy shores around the outer edge
- Muddy and clay beds toward the centre
- Lily pads scattered across the surface in deeper areas
- Salmon and tropical fish swimming in the water
- Pink Frogs hopping along the shoreline
The Cherry Village
Villages generate directly in the Cherry Blossom Forest and follow a vanilla-inspired layout:
- Cobblestone foundations beneath every building
- Cherry plank floors and walls with cherry log corner posts
- Glass pane windows and cherry stair roofs
- Cherry doors, beds, and workstations inside homes
- Lanterns on fence posts flanking the central plaza
- A bell at the plaza centre
- Dirt path streets and a well
- Small farms providing food
- Villagers ready to trade
Collecting Blossom Items
- Mine Blossom Grass blocks to collect them as items.
- Break Fallen Cherry Petals or Cherry Blossom Flowers on the ground to pick them up — useful for decoration in builds.
- Harvest cherry logs and planks from the naturally generated trees using any axe.
Abilities And Mechanics
Pink Frog Spawning
Pink Frogs only appear near water. They require a dry block to stand on (Blossom Grass, regular grass, dirt, mud, clay, or sand) and a water source within roughly 5 blocks. They will not spawn in the water itself.
Cherry Cow
The Cherry Cow behaves identically to a vanilla cow (drops leather and beef, can be bred with wheat) but wears a floral skin and is exclusive to the Cherry Blossom Forest biome. It is a rare spawn.
Cherry Lake Generation
Lakes are large and circular, with natural noise applied to their edges to break up the silhouette. The depth increases toward the centre, where clay beds form. Lily pads dot the inner surface. Because generation is seed-based, you can reliably find the same lake on the same seed.
Progression And Strategy
- Early game: Use the cherry village as a safe base — villagers offer trades, the farm provides food, and the cobblestone foundations supply early building material.
- Exploration: Follow the biome until you hear open water; the giant lake is a landmark worth finding for the unique shore blocks and Pink Frog encounters.
- Building: Collect Blossom Grass, Fallen Cherry Petals, and Cherry Blossom Flowers for decorative builds. Cherry wood (logs, planks, slabs, stairs, fences) from the village trees pairs naturally with this palette.
- Mob hunting: The Cherry Cow is rare — explore widely within the biome, or keep a Cherry Cow Spawn Egg in Creative to ensure you always have one available for a farm or enclosure.
- Trading: Village workstations are staffed, so setting up a trading hall in the cherry village is a viable mid-game goal, giving access to vanilla trade routes in a beautiful setting.
