Bubblegum Arsenal

Quickstart

1. Find Bubblegum Ore deep underground in the Overworld (requires a diamond-tier pickaxe). Mining it drops 1–3 Bubblegum.
2. Smelt Bubblegum in a furnace to get raw material, then craft Netherite Bubblegum by surrounding a Netherite Ingot with Bubblegum.
3. Build a Bubblegum Press using Netherite Bubblegum around a Smithing Table, then place it in the world.
4. Shift-right-click the Press to open it. Load a Netherite base item and Netherite Bubblegum to create a Bubblegum-native piece of gear, then add trait parts one at a time (shift-click to transfer parts into the Press slots).
5. Equip your gear, bind the ability keys in Controls → Bubblegum Arsenal, and start experimenting — try the Bubblegum Elytra's Bubble Dive first for an immediate spectacle.

Overview

Bubblegum Arsenal introduces a rare Overworld ore and a full set of Netherite-tier modular gear — weapons, tools, armor, and an elytra — all built around the bubblegum material. Gear is assembled in two stages at the Bubblegum Press, and every finished piece carries active abilities triggered by dedicated keybinds. Armor traits provide passive protection, and the Bubblegum Elytra offers a unique aerial maneuver. All items use crisp vanilla-style pixel art with Netherite-like armor silhouettes.

Gear Crafting (Bubblegum Press)

Gear is made in two steps inside the Bubblegum Press:

1. Step 1 — Base conversion: Place a matching Netherite base item (e.g. a Netherite Sword) alongside Netherite Bubblegum to produce the Bubblegum-native version.
2. Step 2 — Trait fitting: Insert trait parts (Netherite Bubblegum Head, Chewed Gum Grip, Stretchy Gum Binding, or Hardened Gum-Coated Diamond Rod) one at a time. Shift-click items in your inventory to transfer them into the Press slots.

Abilities And Mechanics

Keybinds

Open Options → Controls → Bubblegum Arsenal to assign the following keys:

Each ability has an independent per-item cooldown. A timer appears on the action bar while an ability is on cooldown, and using abilities costs durability.

Weapon Feedback

Bubblegum weapons produce distinct particles and sounds on hit, and the action bar displays relevant HUD feedback so you always know when an ability fires or enters cooldown.

Snapback (Armor Trait)

Bubblegum armor pieces carry the Snapback trait, which reduces fall damage and elytra crash damage. Each piece of Snapback armor worn reduces incoming fall/crash damage by 20%, stacking across all four armor slots (up to 80% reduction), though a minimum amount of damage always applies.

Bubblegum Elytra — Bubble Dive

The Bubblegum Elytra is equipped by right-clicking it (it goes directly into your chestplate slot; your previous chest item is returned to the hand you used). While wearing it, trigger the Bubble Dive with the Chestplate Boost key:

• You plunge sharply downward, then launch back upward — up to double your starting height.
• The Sugar Rush effect amplifies the bounce height when active.
• The Bubblegum Elytra supports chest-armor enchantments (including Unbreaking) and uses durability on each dive.

Chestplate Swaps

Whenever you equip a Bubblegum Chestplate or the Bubblegum Elytra via right-click, the item that was previously in your chestplate slot is automatically returned to the hand you used, so you never lose your old gear.

Progression And Strategy

1. Early preparation: Bubblegum Ore is deep and rare — bring a diamond pickaxe and Fortune if you have it (Fortune improves Bubblegum drops).
2. Refine quickly: One Netherite Ingot + eight Bubblegum makes one Netherite Bubblegum. Stockpile Bubblegum before committing to gear.
3. Build the Press first: You need the Bubblegum Press before you can craft any gear pieces. It requires four Netherite Bubblegum, so plan your ore run accordingly.
4. Consult the Guide: Craft the Bubblegum Arsenal Guide (sticks and paper) for an in-game reference on recipes and mechanics.
5. Layer your trait parts: Each gear piece can receive multiple trait parts fitted one at a time. Experiment with combinations to tailor your playstyle — different parts emphasize different abilities.
6. Full Snapback set: Wearing all four Bubblegum armor pieces together gives you strong fall and elytra-crash protection, making aggressive aerial play much safer.
7. Elytra synergy: The Bubblegum Elytra + Sugar Rush (from the Bubblegum Apple or other sources) enables extremely high Bubble Dive bounces — great for rapid vertical traversal or escaping danger.
