Mod Wiki
Bizzarro
Quickstart
- Create or enter an Overworld world with Bizzarro enabled.
- In Creative mode, search the inventory for Bizzarro and try the spawn eggs and blocks.
- Spawn a Wogus near a swamp, a Gift Creeper in a dark area, or a Giant Bizzarro Animal in an open field.
- Explore the Overworld in Survival. Watch for unusual mobs, oversized animals, altered trees, unstable ground, and strange messages.
- Keep your distance from Wogus, Gift Creepers, giant bees, and sudden patches of lava or open air.
You can also summon the confirmed summonable creatures with commands:
/summon com_bizzarro_up2wxgxp:bizzarro_pink_spider/summon com_bizzarro_up2wxgxp:bizzarro_nitwit
Bizzarro has no documented crafting recipes. Use Creative inventory items or commands to experiment with its blocks and creatures.
Overview
Bizzarro turns the Overworld into a neon wilderness full of unpredictable encounters. Familiar animals can appear at enormous sizes, hostile mobs can become stronger and faster, and ordinary terrain may suddenly become water, lava, ores, gaps, or unexpected building materials.
The mod is designed around exploration and surprise rather than a fixed quest line. Travel through different biomes, watch the skies and ground, and investigate anything that looks out of place.

How To Use
Finding the creatures
Most Bizzarro creatures appear naturally in the Overworld:
- Look for Bizzarro Nitwits, Giant Bizzarro Bees, and Jail Birds during the day.
- Search dark areas for Bizzarro Pink Spiders and Gift Creepers.
- Explore wet biomes to find Wogus.
- Watch rivers and oceans for Jailfish, Codzilla, and Echoquake.
- Explore grassy, snowy, desert, and flower-filled areas to find the various giant animals.
In Creative mode, use the Bizzarro spawn eggs for immediate testing. Spawn the creature in an open area so its size and behavior are easier to see.
Approaching Gift Creepers
Gift Creepers react when you come within roughly three blocks:
- Move close enough to activate the fuse.
- Watch for the fuse and glowing effect.
- Move away if you do not want to risk the explosion.
- After the encounter, collect the surprise reward.
A Gift Creeper can reward one of the following:
- 9 diamonds
- 9 emeralds
- 9 iron ingots
- A full Minecraft day of Speed, Haste, Night Vision, or Water Breathing
Skeletons, Strays, or Bogged that kill a Gift Creeper can also cause it to drop a music disc.
Fighting Wogus
Wogus attacks at close range. Any creature or player hit by one receives Poison for a short time, so bring food and avoid fighting several Wogus in confined spaces.
Wogus loot can include slime balls or one of the three froglight colors, depending on its variant and the circumstances of its death.
Dealing with Bizzarro Pink Spiders
Bizzarro Pink Spiders are much smaller than ordinary spiders and can climb. When one bites a target, the bite can randomly:
- Make the target larger
- Make the target smaller and slower
- Make the target temporarily hostile toward nearby creatures
- Increase jumping ability
The temporary effects last only a short time. Pink Spiders drop string and may drop a spider eye when killed by a player.
Abilities And Mechanics
Giant encounters
Rare giant encounters can appear near players in the Overworld. Giant cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and rabbits are scaled to about five times their normal size. Giant bees also appear as special encounters and are much larger than ordinary bees.
Giant animals still provide familiar resources:
| Creature | Typical drops |
|---|---|
| Giant Bizzarro Cow | Leather and beef |
| Giant Bizzarro Sheep | Wool matching its color and mutton |
| Giant Bizzarro Pig | Porkchops |
| Giant Bizzarro Chicken | Chicken and feathers |
| Giant Bizzarro Rabbit | Rabbit hide, rabbit meat, and a rare rabbit's foot |
Killing a giant animal while it is on fire can produce cooked meat.
Aquatic transformations
Some natural aquatic mobs can be replaced by Bizzarro variants:
- Salmon can become a Jailfish, about twice normal size.
- Cod can become Codzilla, about three times normal size.
- Dolphins can become Echoquake, about three times normal size.
Echoquake periodically emits a powerful-sounding sonic ping, so unexpected deep sounds near the water may indicate one is nearby.
Hostile mob corruption
Hostile mobs in the Overworld can occasionally become rabid or crazy. A corrupted mob glows and gains increased speed and strength for a limited time.
Corrupted hostile mobs may also attack other hostile creatures instead of behaving normally. Watch for glowing monsters before entering caves or approaching a mob-filled area.
Temporary miniaturization
Land creatures near players can occasionally shrink to half size for roughly 45 seconds. This does not affect players, aquatic creatures, or several major boss and projectile entities.
Miniaturized mobs return to their normal size after the effect ends.
Unstable ground
The ground around players can change in a sudden patch. Grass, dirt, sand, gravel, stone, and similar blocks may turn into:
- Water
- Lava
- Air
- Ores
- Cobblestone or other stone types
- Sandstone, bricks, clay, or terracotta
- Wood, leaves, hay, netherrack, obsidian, or quartz
Do not assume that a familiar patch of ground is safe. Keep blocks ready for bridging and avoid standing near cliffs, lava, or deep excavations.
Bizzarro vegetation and terrain
As you explore, nearby natural trees and sandstone structures can be converted into Bizzarro versions of their logs, leaves, and sandstone blocks. Bamboo can also grow rapidly when you are nearby.
This makes ordinary forests and desert structures gradually take on Bizzarro's neon appearance.
Strange messages and sounds
Bizzarro occasionally sends cryptic messages to players after unusual events. You may also hear unexpected sounds from Bizzarro Nitwits, Echoquakes, or nearby encounters. Treat these as warnings that something strange may be happening nearby.
Crafting And Obtaining
Bizzarro creatures are primarily obtained through:
- Natural Overworld spawning
- Bizzarro spawn eggs in the Creative inventory
- Summoning commands for summonable entities
Bizzarro blocks are available from the Creative inventory. The mod does not provide documented crafting recipes for its main blocks or creatures.
Some Bizzarro creatures and blocks also provide familiar Minecraft drops:
- Bizzarro Pink Spider: string and player-kill spider eyes
- Giant Bizzarro Cow: leather and beef
- Giant Bizzarro Sheep: wool and mutton
- Giant Bizzarro Pig: porkchops
- Giant Bizzarro Chicken: chicken and feathers
- Giant Bizzarro Rabbit: rabbit hide, rabbit meat, and occasional rabbit's feet
- Jail Bird: feathers
- Strange Happy Stone: stone when broken
Progression And Strategy
Bizzarro has no traditional tool tier or quest progression. Your progression comes from learning how to recognize and survive its events.
- Start in Creative mode if you want to inspect every creature and block safely.
- In Survival, establish a secure shelter before exploring unfamiliar terrain.
- Carry water, blocks, food, and ranged weapons when visiting swamps, oceans, or caves.
- Keep extra distance from Gift Creepers and giant bees.
- Mark safe paths through areas where unstable ground has appeared.
- Use giant animals as high-yield sources of familiar food and materials.
- Watch for glowing hostile mobs, which may be faster and stronger than usual.
- Listen for unusual sounds and read unexpected chat messages; they may signal a nearby encounter.
- Explore different biomes rather than staying in one area, since many creatures have specific habitats.
