Banana Blossom Biome

Quickstart

1. Explore the Overworld until you find the Banana Blossom Biome — a lush grove of banana trees with distinctive Root Beer Smelling Logs and leafy canopies.
2. Break Banana Leaves to collect Bananas (30% drop chance). Eat one to restore hunger and receive a random beneficial status effect.
3. Chop Root Beer Smelling Logs and craft them into Root Beer Planks (1 log → 4 planks), then compress a full 3×3 of planks into Root Beer Ingots — the core material for all mid-tier equipment.
4. Open the Banana Blossom Biome creative tab to browse every item, block, food, tool, weapon, armor piece, and the Banana Nana Spawn Egg.

Overview

The Banana Blossom Biome adds a new Overworld biome filled with banana trees, a unique wood type, a full equipment tier, consumable foods, and a custom zombie mob called the Banana Nana. Everything in the mod flows from two primary resources gathered in the biome: Bananas from leaves and Root Beer Smelling Logs from trees.

Root Beer Sword, Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, Bow, and Crossbow — a complete mid-tier set crafted from Root Beer Ingots.

Armor

Two full armor sets are available:

• Root Beer Armor — Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots crafted from Root Beer Ingots.
• Banana Armor — Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, Boots crafted from biome materials (Bananas, Banana Blocks, Banana Leaves, Root Beer Planks/Logs).

Mob

Banana Nana — A zombie variant that roams the Banana Blossom Biome. It uses custom sounds for ambient, hurt, and death events. On death it always drops a Banana Block and has a 30% chance to drop a random piece of Banana Armor.

How To Use

Bananas

Eat a Banana to restore hunger. Every time you eat one, you receive one randomly chosen status effect regardless of whether you already have active effects. Possible effects include Speed, Haste, Jump Boost, Regeneration, Absorption, Resistance, Strength, Luck, and Night Vision, each lasting between 8 seconds and 60 seconds.

Root Beer Smelling Logs → Planks → Ingots

The crafting pipeline for the Root Beer equipment tier:

1. Chop logs from banana trees.
2. Craft logs into Root Beer Planks (1 log → 4 planks).
3. Fill an entire 3×3 crafting grid with Root Beer Planks to produce Root Beer Ingots.

Root Beer Ingots are then used for all tools, weapons, and Root Beer armor.

Consumables

• Combine a Root Beer Ingot with a Glass Bottle to make a Root Beer Drink.
• Combine a Milk Bucket, Sugar, and a Snowball to make Ice Cream.
• Combine a Root Beer Drink with Ice Cream to make a Root Beer Float.

Banana Nana

Banana Nanas spawn naturally in the biome. Defeating them yields a Banana Block and sometimes Banana Armor. You can also use the Banana Nana Spawn Egg to spawn one anywhere.

Abilities And Mechanics

Random Banana Effect

Every Banana eaten triggers one of nine possible status effects chosen at random. The effect is applied even if you already have the same effect active, effectively refreshing or stacking its duration. This makes Bananas a versatile food source for exploration, combat, or farming.

Banana Nana Stats

The Banana Nana is tougher than a standard zombie — it has 24 health, slightly increased movement speed, and deals moderate melee damage. Its custom sounds distinguish it from regular zombies in the dark.

Root Beer Log Flammability

Root Beer Smelling Logs are flammable and count as logs for all vanilla crafting recipes that require logs or log-type blocks.

Progression And Strategy

• Early biome visit: Collect Bananas from leaves (break as many as you can) and chop logs. Bananas are an excellent early food source due to the bonus random effects.
• Mid-tier gear: Once you have logs, mass-craft planks and compress them into ingots to build out the full Root Beer tool and armor set before tackling tougher content.
• Banana Armor route: Banana Armor uses biome-specific materials (Banana Blocks, Banana Leaves, Root Beer Planks/Logs, and Bananas) rather than ingots, so it can be crafted with raw biome drops without going through the ingot pipeline.
• Banana Nana farming: Banana Nanas are a renewable source of Banana Blocks and Banana Armor pieces. Use the Banana Nana Spawn Egg to set up a farm away from the biome if needed.
• Root Beer Float: Combining the Root Beer Drink and Ice Cream into a Root Beer Float creates the premium consumable of the mod — worth crafting for extended adventures.
