Age Gate

Quickstart

1. Join a server running Age Gate.
2. You will immediately receive a chat prompt asking you to verify your age.
3. Type /age <your age> in chat — for example, /age 25.
4. If your age is 16 or higher you will be verified and can play normally. If you enter an age below 16 you will be kicked from the server.

Overview

Age Gate is a server-side mod that enforces a minimum age check for every player who joins. Until a player completes verification, they are locked out of most gameplay interactions. The process is quick — one command is all it takes — but the server will keep reminding you until you do it.

How To Use

Verifying Your Age

Run the following command after joining:

/age <number>

The accepted range is 0 to 150. You only need to do this once per session.

What Happens While Unverified

Until you run /age, the following restrictions apply:

• You cannot attack blocks, entities, or other players.
• You cannot use blocks or interact with entities.
• You will receive a chat message prompting you to verify.
• You will receive periodic action-bar reminders every 10 seconds until you comply.

Verification Outcomes

Abilities And Mechanics

• Interaction lock — The mod blocks attacking blocks, attacking entities, using blocks, and using entities for any player who has not yet verified. This lock is lifted the moment verification succeeds.
• Reminder system — Action-bar reminders fire roughly every 10 seconds so unverified players cannot simply ignore the prompt.
• Session tracking — Verified status is tracked per player for the duration of their session. Reconnecting to the server will require verification again.
• Server-side only — The mod runs entirely on the server; players do not need to install anything on their client.
