Greatwood Expanse is a command-driven map generator that instantly plants a huge, playable forest around you: dense oak and birch groves, shaped rolling terrain, grass, ferns, flowers, ponds, a mossy camp clearing with a campfire, crafting table and chest, roaming animals, and carved underground cave tunnels with torch markers. Start by using /greatwood create [radius] to generate the area (default 96, min 32, max 160) and /greatwood guide for tips; the generator teleports you safely above the clearing when it finishes. Once created you can explore, gather resources, use the camp supplies to start surviving or building, and delve into the caves for loot and adventure.

This mod adds the Hollow Miner Shade, a tall and thin shadowy entity that haunts underground caves and the darkness of night. This eerie creature mimics the sounds of mining to deceive players into thinking someone is digging nearby, while it silently stalks through the darkness extinguishing any torches it finds within range. The Hollow Miner Shade is hostile and will attack players on sight, making it a dangerous threat that combines psychological horror with direct combat as it plunges your surroundings into darkness.

The Moon Dust Stalker is a terrifying eight-armed creature that emerges at night, resembling a tall, dark spider-like figure that can climb walls to chase down players. This hostile mob extinguishes nearby torches and lanterns as it hunts, plunging areas into darkness, and burns in sunlight like undead creatures. Upon sunrise, defeated stalkers drop Moon Dust (glowstone dust) as a reward for those who survive their nighttime encounters.

This mod adds the Night Listener, a terrifying nocturnal predator that appears as an unnaturally tall and skinny pale creature stalking the darkness. It hunts by sound, detecting players who make noise through sprinting or moving quickly within 32 blocks, though sneaking can help you avoid its attention. When it catches you, its attack induces overwhelming fear through darkness and slowness effects, and it becomes even faster when injured, making it a relentless and deadly threat that burns in daylight like other undead creatures.

The Midnight Mind turns night into a tense horror survival loop by adding a live sanity meter that drains in darkness, under open sky, when you make noise, or when you’re near the mod’s horror monsters, and that is slowed or restored by campfires, soul campfires, sleep, Warding Candles, and Sanity Potions. After dusk new horrors spawn — the sound‑hunting Listener stalks noisy players unless you sneak or block sound with wool, the underground Hollow Miner mimics mining and breaks torches, and packs of wall‑crawling Moon‑Crawlers knock out lights and drop Moon Dust at sunrise, while day‑only Rot‑Speakers act as peaceful traders who accept Rotten Flesh for Warding Candles, Soul Lanterns, Sanity Potions, Nightmare Charms, or Safe Bells; use Warding Candles (also usable as fuel), Safe Bells to push monsters away, Nightmare Charms to survive one lethal hit, sneaking, wool, campfires, and trading to survive the night amid eerie whispers, flickering torches, moving doors, and low‑sanity hallucinations. In version 3.0.0 encounters with Listeners, Hollow Miners, and Moon‑Crawlers now trigger a tense chase theme (freak_poster) that plays for nearby players to warn you a hunt is on, and very rarely a bright portal will open and summon your mind to purge hostile mobs and grant a temporary respite.

The Rot Speaker is a mysterious dark villager-like creature with horns that appears only during daylight hours and vanishes when night falls. This eerie mob is peaceful unless provoked, wandering the Overworld during the day, and can be traded with by offering it rotten flesh in exchange for rare and mysterious items like Warding Candles, Soul Lanterns, Sanity Potions, Nightmare Charms, and Safe Bells. Be cautious though - while normally passive, the Rot Speaker will defend itself with surprising strength if attacked.
