Web Slinger Suit

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, find the four suit pieces in the Combat tab, or craft them from the recipes below.
2. Equip the helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots in all four armor slots. The full set activates the suit’s movement powers and web abilities.
3. Aim at a mob or block and press V to use Shoot Web. A web projectile slows living targets and can place a cobweb.
4. Aim at a distant block or entity and press G to use Grappling Hook. The hook pulls you toward whatever it hits.
5. Rebind Shoot Web and Grappling Hook in Options → Controls if needed.

Overview

The Web Slinger Suit is a four-piece armor set with spider-inspired abilities. Individual pieces provide some effects, but the complete set is required for enhanced movement, web shooting, and grappling.

The suit does not require ammunition for either ability. Both abilities fire in the direction you are looking.

What It Adds

Every piece is armor and has a visible enchantment-style glint.

How To Use

Wear the Complete Suit

The full-set abilities activate only when all four Web Slinger Suit pieces are equipped:

• Strength II
• Speed I
• Jump Boost I
• Slow Falling
• Shoot Web
• Grappling Hook

The helmet’s Night Vision works while the helmet is worn, even without the other pieces.

Shoot Web

Press V by default to fire a web projectile.

• Living targets hit by the web receive Slowness III and Weakness I for 4 seconds.
• A cobweb is placed at the target if the target’s position is replaceable.
• Hitting a block places a cobweb on the block’s far side when that position is replaceable.
• The ability has a short cooldown of 15 ticks, or about 0.75 seconds.

Use webs to slow hostile mobs, block narrow passages, or create temporary obstacles during a fight.

Grappling Hook

Press G by default to fire the grappling hook.

• The hook attaches to a block or another entity.
• Once attached, it pulls you toward the anchor point.
• It works up to 48 blocks away.
• The hook releases when you get close to the anchor.
• A hook that does not attach disappears after roughly 5 seconds.
• The ability has a 25-tick cooldown, or about 1.25 seconds.

Aim at rooftops, cliffs, trees, or other solid surfaces to gain height and cross gaps. The hook also resets your fall distance while it is pulling you.

Ability Cooldowns

Both abilities use the suit’s chestplate cooldown. Firing one ability prevents the other from being fired until the cooldown finishes.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft each piece at a crafting table. In Creative mode, the pieces are available in the Combat item group.

Web Slinger Suit Helmet

Uses red wool and a cobweb.

Web Slinger Suit Chestplate

Uses cobwebs, red dye, and an iron chestplate.

Web Slinger Suit Leggings

Uses string, leather leggings, and a spider eye.

Web Slinger Suit Boots

Uses leather, string, and a spider eye.

The suit can be repaired with iron ingots using an anvil.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The full set is checked by armor slot, so all four pieces must be equipped rather than carried in the inventory.
• Web projectiles can affect living entities other than their wearer.
• Web projectiles can create ordinary Minecraft cobweb blocks in replaceable spaces.
• Grappling hooks remain attached at the point they hit and pull the wearer toward that point.
• The suit’s movement effects make it easier to leap, descend safely, and reposition during combat.

Progression And Strategy

Start by crafting the helmet for reliable visibility in dark areas, then work toward the complete set to unlock the suit’s main abilities.

For combat, open with a web shot to slow a dangerous mob before engaging. Use the grappling hook to reach high ground, escape hazards, or move quickly between rooftops. Combining Jump Boost, Speed, and Slow Falling makes the suit especially effective in vertical terrain and at night.
