Mod Wiki
Vinebloom Wineblade
Quickstart
- Gather a Wooden Sword, a Vine, and Sweet Berries.
- Open a Crafting Table and craft the Vinebloom Wineblade:
- Equip the sword and hit any mob — watch their vision twist with Nausea for 10 seconds.
Overview
The Vinebloom Wineblade is a cursed weapon fashioned from a wooden sword strangled by wild vines and soaked in dripping wine. It carries an otherworldly enchanted glint and hits harder than a plain wooden sword, but its most distinctive trait is the intoxicating effect it inflicts on every target it strikes.
What It Adds
| Item | Rarity | Damage | Durability |
|---|
| Vinebloom Wineblade | Uncommon | 4 | 59 |
- Enchanted appearance — the blade has a permanent glint, marking it as no ordinary weapon.
- Nausea on hit — every successful hit applies the Nausea status effect to the target for 10 seconds, warping their vision as if drunk.
- Found in the Equipment tab of the inventory.
How To Use
Simply equip the Vinebloom Wineblade in your main hand and attack enemies as you would with any sword. No special activation is needed — the Nausea effect triggers automatically on every hit, affecting mobs and players alike. Nausea causes severe visual distortion, making it harder for affected targets to navigate or fight back effectively.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Vinebloom Wineblade is crafted at a Crafting Table:
All three ingredients are found in the natural world:
- Vine — grows on the sides of trees in jungle, swamp, and forest biomes.
- Wooden Sword — crafted from any planks and a stick.
- Sweet Berries — harvested from sweet berry bushes in taiga biomes.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Nausea (10 seconds): Every entity you hit is inflicted with the Nausea effect. This causes severe screen-wobble, disorienting enemies and making combat much harder for them.
- Damage: Deals 4 damage per hit, equivalent to a base sword attack.
- Durability: The blade has 59 durability. Every hit consumes 1 durability point.
- Repair: The Vinebloom Wineblade can be repaired using Planks at an anvil, restoring 15 durability per plank used.
- Enchantable: Accepts sword enchantments at an enchanting table or anvil (enchantability 15).
Progression And Strategy
- Craft the Vinebloom Wineblade early — all ingredients are available before entering any dungeon or structure.
- The Nausea debuff is especially powerful against other players in PvP, completely distorting their vision and giving you a decisive advantage.
- Against mobs, Nausea has limited AI impact, but it makes the Wineblade a satisfying and flavourful early-game weapon with a unique visual flair.
- Because durability is limited at 59 hits, consider enchanting it with Unbreaking to extend its lifespan, or keep a stockpile of Planks for quick repairs at an anvil.
- Combining the blade with Looting or Sharpness enchantments will amplify both its combat power and the chaos it brings to each fight.
