Tome Of Knowledge Cursed Energy Enhancement Vol 1

Quickstart

1. Obtain the tome by crafting it or by selecting it from the Creative inventory under Equipment.
2. Hold the tome and use it to consume it. The tome can always be consumed, even when your hunger bar is full.
3. After consuming it, crouch or sneak continuously for 5 seconds to activate Cursed Energy Enhancement.
4. Release sneak to stop the countdown. Crouch for another 5 seconds to toggle the ability off.
5. While active, watch for the swirling soul-like aura around your player and enjoy the enhanced movement, combat, and survival abilities.

Overview

The Tome Of Knowledge: Cursed Energy Enhancement Vol. 1 is a single-use knowledge tome. Consuming it teaches your player the Cursed Energy Enhancement technique.

Once learned, the technique can be activated or deactivated at any time by crouching continuously for 5 seconds. The tome is not required again after the technique has been learned.

How To Use

Consume the Tome

Hold the tome in your hand and use it. It uses a short eating animation, but it does not restore hunger or saturation.

If you have already learned the technique, attempting to consume another tome does nothing and displays an “Already Understand Cursed Energy Enhancement...” message instead.

Activate or Deactivate the Technique

After learning the technique:

1. Begin crouching or sneaking.
2. Continue crouching without releasing the sneak control.
3. After 5 seconds, the technique toggles.

The action bar displays a countdown while you crouch. Releasing sneak before the countdown finishes resets the countdown.

When the technique is active, crouching for another 5 seconds deactivates it and removes its effects.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the tome at a crafting table using light blue dye, books, black dye, and a soul torch.

The recipe unlocks when you obtain light blue dye. The finished tome does not stack.

Abilities And Mechanics

While Cursed Energy Enhancement is active, you continuously receive the following effects:

The effects are continually refreshed while the technique remains active. Their normal status-effect particles are hidden, while a small soul-like particle aura appears around the player to show that the ability is running.

Progression And Strategy

Consume the tome early if you want a major boost to exploration, mining, combat, and mobility. The combination of Speed V and Jump Boost V makes movement much faster, while Fire Resistance and Resistance improve survivability in dangerous areas.

Use the technique selectively when you want to conserve its power visually or avoid enhanced movement. Since activation and deactivation both require a full 5-second crouch, toggle it in a safe position before entering combat or hazardous terrain.
