Stygian Orebreaker

Quickstart

1. Obtain a Netherite Pickaxe, a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, and an Amethyst Shard.
2. Use a smithing table to upgrade the Netherite Pickaxe into the Stygian Orebreaker.

1. Equip the Stygian Orebreaker and mine iron, gold, or copper ore. The ore drops as an ingot immediately—no furnace is required.
2. Hold it in your selected hotbar slot to see its subtle purple portal-particle trail.

The recipe is automatically available when you join the world. In Creative mode, you can also find the item in the Tools tab.

Overview

The Stygian Orebreaker is a single-use-slot pickaxe with Netherite-level mining properties and a special ore-refining effect. It turns eligible iron, gold, and copper blocks directly into their refined ingots as you mine them.

What It Adds

• Stygian Orebreaker pickaxe
• Netherite-level mining speed, durability, mining level, enchantability, and repair properties
• Direct ore-to-ingot drops
• A restrained purple particle effect while the pickaxe is selected

How To Use

Equip the Stygian Orebreaker in your hotbar and break eligible blocks normally.

• Iron, gold, and copper ores drop 1 corresponding ingot.
• Deepslate iron, gold, and copper ores also drop 1 corresponding ingot.
• Blocks of raw iron, raw gold, and raw copper drop 9 corresponding ingots.
• The special effect applies when a player breaks the block while holding the Stygian Orebreaker.

No smelting or other processing is needed for these blocks.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Stygian Orebreaker is made with a smithing table using:

• Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template
• Netherite Pickaxe
• Amethyst Shard

The finished pickaxe cannot be stacked.

Netherite Pickaxe Properties

The Stygian Orebreaker functions as a Netherite pickaxe for mining and tool use. It is also recognized as a pickaxe by Minecraft.

Stygian Trail

When the pickaxe is selected in your hotbar, purple portal particles appear around you as a visual effect. The effect does not require activation and does not provide a combat or movement bonus.

Progression And Strategy

Upgrade the Stygian Orebreaker once you have access to Netherite equipment and an Amethyst Shard. It is especially useful during mining trips because iron, gold, and copper ores are ready to use as soon as they are broken.

Raw ore blocks are particularly valuable: each one becomes nine ingots instantly, making the pickaxe useful for compact storage blocks as well as ordinary ore veins.
