Soulstealer
Quickstart
- Gather the crafting ingredients: Amethyst Shards, a Lapis Block, a Nether Brick, an Iron Sword, and a Host Armor Trim Smithing Template.
- Craft the Soulstealer at a crafting table:
- Hold the Soulstealer and attack any enemy. There is a 30% chance each hit will trigger Soul Steal.
- Once you have stolen a soul, use (right-click / long-press) the dagger to unleash its secondary ability on the marked target.
Overview
The Soulstealer is an epic-rarity dagger that blends fast melee combat with a soul-manipulation mechanic. Every swing has a chance to rip out an enemy's soul, empowering you and crippling them. Storing that soul lets you trigger powerful follow-up abilities depending on how close your target is — a quick repositioning leap when they're nearby, or a dramatic teleport when they're far away.
What It Adds
| Item | Rarity | Damage | Durability | Repair Material |

The dagger is enchantable in the sword slot and stacks to 1.
Abilities And Mechanics
Soul Steal (Passive — On Hit)
Each time you hit an enemy with the Soulstealer there is a 30% chance the proc fires:
- The target is marked as soulless and receives Slowness II for 5 seconds.
- You gain Haste II for 10 seconds.
- A message confirms the steal in your action bar.
Only one soul can be stored at a time. The marked target retains the "soulless" status until you consume the soul via the right-click ability.
Soul Return (Active — Right-Click / Use)
Right-clicking (or long-pressing on mobile) consumes the stored soul and triggers one of two effects based on your distance to the marked target. There is a 3-second cooldown between uses.
Near Mode — 5 blocks or closer
- The target's soul is returned, removing their soulless mark.
- You leap forward in the direction you are looking.
- You gain Invisibility for 3 seconds.
- Best used as a quick escape or gap-close finisher.
Far Mode — more than 5 blocks away
- You blink (teleport) directly to the marked target.
- The soul is forcefully returned, applying Blindness and bonus damage to the target on arrival.
- Best used to close long distances or chase down fleeing enemies.
If no soulless target is within range, the ability does nothing and notifies you in the action bar.
Progression And Strategy
- Early skirmishes: Use normal attacks to fish for Soul Steal procs. The Haste II buff meaningfully speeds up your follow-up swings, and Slowness II on the target makes it hard for them to flee.
- Repositioning: When a target is close, right-clicking lets you leap away with 3 seconds of invisibility — great for resetting a fight or escaping danger.
- Assassination: Spot a distant marked target and blink to them for a surprise burst. The forced soul return blinds them, giving you a critical-attack window.
- Repair: Keep Netherite Ingots on hand. Each ingot restores 100 durability, and the dagger has no built-in regeneration.
- Enchanting: The Soulstealer accepts sword enchantments (enchantability 10). Sharpness, Looting, and Unbreaking are all strong choices to amplify its combat potential.
