Quickstart

Craft the Silkshot Launcher using the recipe below, then equip it and use it (right-click by default) to fire in the direction you’re aiming. It needs no ammunition.

Try hitting a hostile mob to deal damage and slow it, or aim at a solid block with an empty space on its far side to place a cobweb there. Each shot uses durability, and the launcher has a brief cooldown.

Overview

The Silkshot Launcher fires a web projectile for both combat and placing cobwebs. Hits on living targets slow them; hits on blocks can weave a cobweb into an adjacent empty space.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is unlocked for players automatically. Craft one Silkshot Launcher with:

Abilities And Mechanics

• Against living targets: Deals 4 damage and applies Slowness II for 4 seconds.
• Against blocks: Places a cobweb in the space just beyond the block you hit, if that space is empty and you’re allowed to modify it.
• Durability and cooldown: Each shot uses 1 durability in Survival and the launcher has a 12-tick cooldown. It has 128 durability. Creative players don’t spend durability.
