Silicon City President is a business and progression challenge centered on mining, electronics, gaming, and video production. Build your laboratory around the Creator PC, earn XP and city money, unlock better villager shops, and improve your PC until you can become President of Silicon City.
Your main progression loop is:
Mine ores → craft electronics → buy or craft games → record videos → publish videos → earn money and XP → unlock better shops and PC upgrades
You start at level 1 with $20. The maximum city level is 50.
| Block | Mining reward | XP |
|---|---|---|
| Silicon Ore | 2–4 Silicon Shards | 4 XP |
| Copper Ore | 2–4 Copper Ingots | 3 XP |
| Lithium Ore | 1–2 Lithium Cells | 6 XP |
Breaking one of these ores also gives $1 toward your city funds.
Your first spawn location becomes your laboratory in Silicon City. You receive one Creator PC automatically. Place it at your laboratory and interact with it to open the PC menu.
The PC menu provides:
If you break and replace the PC, it remains the same type of workstation and can be used again.
Use View city dashboard at the PC to check:
Interact with a villager to open the game-shop menu. Villagers offer four shop tiers. Each tier becomes available at a specific level.
| Shop | Unlock level | Game | Price | Purchase XP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Neighborhood Shop | 1 | Game Cartridge | $8 | 10 |
| Downtown Shop | 10 | Deluxe Game Cartridge | $24 | 16 |
| Skyline Shop | 25 | Executive Game Cartridge | $60 | 26 |
| President's Club | 40 | Presidential Game Cartridge | $140 | 40 |
Buying a game gives you one cartridge and increases your trade count. Higher-tier cartridges produce more valuable videos.
Villagers also offer two additional actions:
The task reminder is to mine new ores, craft electronic parts, buy a game, and publish videos.
All listed recipes are crafted at a crafting table.
Copper Wire is made from a Copper Ingot and an Iron Nugget. One recipe produces four wires.

Lithium Cells use Quartz and Redstone. One recipe produces two cells.

Circuit Boards require Silicon Shards, Copper Wire, Redstone, and Planks.

Computer Parts combine Circuit Boards, a Lithium Cell, Iron Ingots, and Copper Wire.

A basic Game Cartridge requires Computer Parts, a Gold Nugget, and Redstone.

The Creator PC requires Computer Parts along with Iron Ingots, Glass, Paper, and Redstone.

You receive a Creator PC automatically when your player is initialized, but additional PCs can also be crafted.
A Recorded Video can be crafted from Paper and a Game Cartridge.

For normal progression, use the Creator PC to record a game. PC-recorded videos remember the game tier and pay according to the cartridge used.
Recording consumes one game cartridge and creates a Recorded Video. You cannot record another video while a Recorded Video is already in your inventory; publish the current video first.
Recording grants XP based on the game tier:
| Game | Recording XP |
|---|---|
| Game Cartridge | 10 |
| Deluxe Game Cartridge | 16 |
| Executive Game Cartridge | 26 |
| Presidential Game Cartridge | 40 |
Publishing consumes the Recorded Video and awards city funds, a City Money item, and additional XP. The publishing payout is:
$10 + (PC mark × $6) + game bonus
| Game | Game bonus |
|---|---|
| Game Cartridge | $0 |
| Deluxe Game Cartridge | $12 |
| Executive Game Cartridge | $32 |
| Presidential Game Cartridge | $80 |
For example, an Indie video published on a Mk.1 PC pays $16, while a Presidential video on a Mk.5 PC pays $110.
When recording, the PC uses the highest-tier cartridge available in your inventory.
Upgrade the Creator PC from its menu. Each upgrade costs city funds and grants 20 XP.
| Upgrade | Cost |
|---|---|
| Mk.1 → Mk.2 | $16 |
| Mk.2 → Mk.3 | $32 |
| Mk.3 → Mk.4 | $48 |
| Mk.4 → Mk.5 | $64 |
Mk.5 is the maximum PC speed. Higher PC marks increase the money earned whenever you publish a video.
You gain XP by:
Every 20 XP advances your city level. Leveling unlocks better shops, and level 50 unlocks the presidency.
Reach level 50, then interact with your Creator PC and choose Claim presidency. You receive a Presidential Badge, and the campaign is complete.
After claiming the presidency, your laboratory and video channel remain available for free play. The PC also unlocks Leave Silicon City. Only the President can use this option; it moves you beyond the city gates into the wider Overworld.
