Quickstart

Craft an emitter at a crafting table:

Place it, then attach a lever to one of its horizontal sides and switch the lever on. The emitter fires a flame-particle beam straight away from the lever. Switch the lever off to stop firing.

Overview

The Redstone Laser Emitter is a placeable block that fires a horizontal beam while powered by a side-mounted lever. Its direction is set by which side the lever is on.

What It Adds

• Redstone Laser Emitter: A solid block you can craft, place, and break to reclaim.

How To Use

1. Place the emitter where you want the beam to start.
2. Attach a lever to one of its horizontal sides.
3. Turn the lever on. The beam travels straight out from the opposite side.
4. Turn the lever off to stop the beam.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the emitter at a crafting table using the recipe above. You can also find it in the Construction section of the Creative inventory. Breaking the placed block drops an emitter.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The beam travels horizontally for up to 24 blocks and stops at the first non-air block in its path.
• It appears as a line of flame particles and damages entities, including players, that are very close to its path.
• A hit deals 4 damage; targets can be hit again about every half-second while the beam remains on.

Progression And Strategy

Clear the beam’s path before switching on the lever. Keep the emitter aimed away from players, mobs, and anything you want to protect.
